radioclash27
I found this site about a year ago, looking for an ebay alt, but I have never heard anything about. I just kind of stumbled apon it. Kind of weary to trust it. Anyone have an experience or any info at all. http://www.gemm.com/ I know its through private sellers, but some of the prices are hard to believe. adamlikesmusic
It's just like Amazon or Musicstack. I bought a few cassettes off it. Went smoothe.
monk0nuggets
I remember ronniethebear was talking about how he has picked stuff up from there. I checked it out for the first time earlier today actually.
qskapunk
i've found stuff on GEMM and then bought it from the actual website of whoever was selling it and yea, most of the prices are unrealistic even if it were in iraqi dinars
adamlikesmusic
The problem is a lot of sellers are listed on multiple sites, so it may show something on GEMM, but last month someone could've bought it on Musicstack.
mrc
love the place! probably had atleast 20-25 orders from there. not one problem.
keevhren
just make sure to check the seller rating, and when their catalog was updated, and in most instances you can e-mail them and get in touch before ordering to make sure they have what you want etc... that said, ive bought several things off of here and havent had a bad experience yet
vinyljunkie
gemm is for noobs, unless you are real patient, and then occassionally youll find something good pop up. mostly its just ridiculous amounts trolling for some noob to jump on it. xxmartinxx
Gemm charges the customer a percentage fee for using the service when you attempt to buy something on top of charging the seller. Pretty fucking lame. I've found that if you contact the seller directly you can avoid that fee, and most times sellers will sell it a few bucks less for not having to pay Gemm. ocnypunk
i've found stuff on GEMM and then bought it from the actual website of whoever was selling itand yea, most of the prices are unrealistic even if it were in iraqi dinars i do the same thing. prices are usually $2-$3 cheaper if you visit the actual store website. some things are waaay overpriced but you can find some real bargains sometimes. steviewonderbread
I remember 6-8 months ago seeing a few Alk3 Goddamnits listed for $15-30 and were usually gone within 24 hours. I recently bought Hello Bastards off it and it went pretty smooth.
impact
i've been tons of stuff from gemm. though, beware of international sellers, as they get most of their stuff from their supplier and most of the time it ends up being out of stock. Yeah I shop here more then anywhere else now, the selection is amazing and I can find some awesome deals. Yeah some sellers will add a surcharge, just don't buy from them. GEMM does not add that surcharge, its the seller. I find its better to browse by seller, some sellers are pricey, some are dirt cheap. john
I have found tons of better deals on gemm than ebay. Almost everything I have bought off of there has been a steal. Just recently I ordered Ted Leo - Hearts of Oak for like $12.95 or something

jhulud
I've only had one transaction through GEMM...the seller was in Japan but everyhing went smooth. Price and shipping were reasonable and I got the record in no time. I was pretty happy. For some reason I always forget to check it out more to see what I can find.
