monk0nuggets
weren't the tradelists going to be completely revamped, so it was more like a spreadsheet, with a bunch of different categories? I thought this as well. I remember screen shots that kind of looked like a google doc.
deadformat
I've spent the last few months going over all the changes in multiple threads on DF so I'm not entirely sure why the main features come as a surprise to anybody. And once again, using DF to post feedback/comments/questions is much more useful to me. There's a board there for a reason
pjaicomo
haha, Nick, we are just chatting amongst ourselves. I am sure that it is going to be awesome.
hickey
I'm not on that bored, so I'll just guess at how to do things. My list came out ok, only problem is a bunch of blank lines at the start of my 7"s and 12"s.
tankerdesk
I think the main drawback is the amount of menus you're going to have to go through compared to before. If you want to add a 7'' and a 12'' for example, you need to click add, then add one to one section, then go to another section and add the other one. Did this too, quickest way is to just delete your old category and make a new one. All the records in the category will be deleted and you basically start from scratch. jawbroken
ug, the "add new section" bug is killer, i didn't see the refresh page memo, and when i submitted it erased everything. mothafucka
alertthemute
The only thing I was looking forward to was being able to add columns and the like, and apparently that got scrapped a while ago. Oh well, time to set up my google docs again.
trainreck
i just got done redoing my list and i like the new set up quite a bit. two things i didn't like were going through my list and erasing "the" before bands so they would go into the right order and when you edit your existing list you have to save by each line instead of just one update button like on the old lists
casey
Whaaaaaaaaat The FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK? I tried to access my old tradelist and it says it's empty. Someone please tell me I'm missing something. I really don't want to redo the whole shit again.

monk0nuggets
I've gotta go back and redo my 12" list. It's kind of out of date compared to my google docs list.
casey
This is a total pain in the balls.
geezfools
I won't be touching my list until I can add pictures, then gonna go through and add them one by one like I did a year or two ago when I did my first tradelist. The real nice thing would be as you're looking through the pressing info, you can add shit to your list directly from that section. So like you're going through, see this strung out record and just add it straight to your list without having to type shit in. Then if you want, add some pictures of your own when you get a chance and then those can be added to the pressing info shit.
monk0nuggets
That's a good idea.
desensitizedbyu
But then you'd need to have more artists in the database, and we all know how long it takes for shit to get added once submitted.

deadformat
Pressing info will be back up within a few days, it will be a new wiki-style system where you won't need admin approval to get things approved anymore.

Or is everyone's list uniform now?
geezfools
via twitter: The box crashed that Dead Format is on.. ugh. Will be back up soon, hopefully. Worst case scenario: 4 hours. that was posted 2.5 hours ago also, I don't care if they're uniform or not, I just wanted organization & pictures & ease of use all balled up into one site. Plus an easy way to search other lists.
