There's some silly moments and some unnecessary slow mo.. Seriously that shit is starting to get on my nerves. Looks like it'll be a nice popcorn flick for the Christmas time. sonix
I thoroughly enjoy reading Sherlock Holmes and this looks pretty good. A little more cartoony then most of the stories, but not overly so.

roadmonkey
Rachel McAdams looks hot. umm. when doesn't she look hot. I imagine when she wakes up after a night of drunken debauchery... Hopefully involving that little corset number she was wearing in the trailer ... dammit she would still be hot. yeah, she's never not hot
crime
she would still be hot if she was sitting on the toilet with violent diarrhea.
dante3000
Remember when they remade "Wild Wild West"? This is part 2. It looks okay except it's supposed to be a Sherlock Holmes movie. Holmes wasn't a fighter, he wasn't an action star. He was very much supposed to be a person of logic and reasoning not shoot 'em ups and fighting. It does look like it can be fun (if you can get past that) but it seems like the only reason they used the Holmes character is to get more publicity. It seems like this would be more fitting as a story about a character that hasn't been established.

Isn't this really the problem with most.. if not all.. major motion pictures these days In the end you just need to kick back and enjoy each movie as a one-off.. thinking about them in a franchise manner will probably make your head explode... jayeffscene
I'll probably see this, but it looks like Ritchie is stepping out of his comfort zone, and that worries me.
