Records is interchangeable with albums to some people so when I'm talking about it to someone who isn't savvy about what I blow all my spare money on, I just say vinyl so they don't assume by records I'm just talking about a bunch of CDs considering a lot of people somehow have forgotten music used to exist as anything other than CDs, mediafire links and torrents. I've honestly had people give me the "they still make those???", so yeah. I'm usually not pedantically anal about what people call it, the only thing that bugs me is "vinyl(s)".
