kirbypuckett
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/03/parents-object-obamas-national-address-students/ This is mind boggling! Just read the entire article.
roadmonkey
OBAMA... He's Brainwashin yer kids! Seriously though. I am not at all surprised by this. It's funny that when a real moron was in the white house we had to hang on his every word and believe it as gospel. The new guy just wants to say some nice things to kids who have probably seen their parents struggle with all the shit this summer so they become more focused on school and do well..It's evil. kurtz
"I have to sign permission slips for my kids to watch R-rated movies in school," Moore said, explaining that she felt parents were being blindsided by the president's address. "It was simply presented, 'Hey, we're going to do this, this is when it's going to air and you're going to show it to your kids.'" This is the best quote from that article. The President of the United States of America talking to elementary school kids = R-rated movie.

On second thought, that would never work. If you read the Qur’an upside down it becomes a communist manifesto. Rats.
xxmartinxx
Here's a few mind-blowing quotes from some mental giants: "It's a form of indoctrination, and I think, really, it's indicative of the culture that the Obama administration is trying to create," Gordon told FOXNews.com on Thursday. "It's very socialistic." and "I have to sign permission slips for my kids to watch R-rated movies in school," Moore said, explaining that she felt parents were being blindsided by the president's address. "It was simply presented, 'Hey, we're going to do this, this is when it's going to air and you're going to show it to your kids.'" and "I have to sign permission slips for my kids to watch R-rated movies in school," Moore said, explaining that she felt parents were being blindsided by the president's address. "It was simply presented, 'Hey, we're going to do this, this is when it's going to air and you're going to show it to your kids.'" Jesus fucking Christ. He's the President. He's not a child molester or David Duke or something. I had a grave hatred for George W., but I would have had no issue with my child watching an address to students. If these people think so little of our President that they feel he can't be trusted to speak to their children, they should get the fuck out of our country. I liken this to people who don't want their children to say the Pledge of Allegiance. If you dislike our country that much, please leave. There are hundreds of other countries to raise your dirt-eating white thrash children.
pjaicomo
the existence of the popular vote is the worst thing about this country...the fact that my vote has the same value as the ignorant masses is ridiculous. Electoral College son! Your ass lives in Nebraska. Your vote is worth more than someone's in New York, California or the other 35 states with larger populations than you. AlexH.
Electoral college is stupid. Votes should be votes. Also, I was listening to Rush Limbaugh today (don't ask, it wasn't my choice) and the guy filling in for him said he noticed his kids' school had a picture of him in their classroom, and how that = fascism or something. I thought this was pretty hilarious, as the private K-12 conservative Christian school I went to had George W's face displayed prominently in every classroom. And I guarantee you there is not a single picture of Obama in that school today.
rtw88
Apparently two of the counties adjacent to my home county have made a policy not to air this, which is outrageous because the drop out rates here are enormous. I haven't been able to find out whether or not the county I went to school in is airing the speech, but if they don't I'm going to write them a letter outlining how retarded they are and how little real world knowledge they taught me. pjaicomo
Bottom line is this: K-12 is basically worthless. What a waste of time that was.
