hookups96
that's awesome. In other news, I saw the Gold on eBay and was not impressed at all by this color. Still interested to see what RJ puts out.
rockstar71888
If I were him, I'd fuck with everyone and put out a diarrhea splatter, limited to 100. Guarantee it would sell out immediately
jhulud
I've been hearing that the merch guy at the BN shows is being real difficult when it comes to selling the gold/tour copies. Supposedly in an effort to deter eBay flipping.
thesupervillain
If you want to deter flipping, you shouldn't make tour only copies.
Guest
at least they didn't pull an NFG and doubled their prices to 'combat' flippers.
timwt
I've been hearing that the merch guy at the BN shows is being real difficult when it comes to selling the gold/tour copies. Supposedly in an effort to deter eBay flipping. When I went last night they didn't even have them listed as for sale. I asked the guy if he had any and he kind of looked at me weird and then said yes and pulled one out from under the table.
benjo09
So they hide them so only the people that know about them can get them but I'm guessing most flippers know about them so to me it kind of defeats the object.
jhulud
A friend of mine told me that a friend of his got him a copy at the show a few nights ago. It seems that when she went to get it, the merch guy started giving her a hassle about it and almost refusing to sell it to her b/c she "didn't know about vinyl". She got online on her phone and showed the merch douche my friend's record nerd list to "prove" that she was buying for someone into vinyl and not to flip it. Talk about fuckin' paranoid and completely snob-ish...
timwt
I wish I got a vinyl knowledge quiz. I showed up too early by accident and could have used to have some time killed shooting the shit about vinyl.

jhulud
A few years ago, when they were touring w/ Manchester Orchestra and Kevin Devine, I tried getting two of the tour posters. The merch guy proceeded to question me on why I wanted to get two and then tell the other merch dude he was with that I was asking for two. So the two merch douches started saying how it wasn't fair to everyone else that I wanted two and all this other nonsense. At that point my friend walked up and I started laying into the merch guys telling them that I was picking up the "extra" for my friend (which I was since I had gotten into the venue earlier) and there he was. So my friend backed me up on this and started getting all pissed...mind you, he's 6'2" about 210lbs. They sold us the posters. But it goes to show that some of these merch guys...esp. w/ tour-only items...feel all high--and-mighty and in control. Just sell the shit and shut the fuck up! jordan999
I'm pretty sure Tony was selling the AFS version, which isn't out yet. Selling both. Triple Crown: http://nerdalertrecords.auctivacommerce.com/Brand-New-The-Devil-and-God-are-Raging-Inside-Me-Vinyl-P500867.aspx MTS: http://nerdalertrecords.auctivacommerce.com/Brand-New-The-Devil-and-God-are-Raging-Inside-Me-Vinyl-P727828.aspx And the last post on the store blog was March 29th. Hahaha, wow, that's so stupid - as if there aren't plenty of people who flip records who have huge collections. They'd have to know quite a bit about vinyl in the first place to know which records were worth flipping!

3milesdown
But it goes to show that some of these merch guys...esp. w/ tour-only items...feel all high--and-mighty and in control. Just sell the shit and shut the fuck up! i saw brand new at that tour. i bought a litho before the show and asked the merch guy if he was willing to hold it til after the show. i was willing to leave my ID cuz i really didnt want to hold onto it while BN played. i told him i'd tip him 5 bucks. he basically told me he woudln't do it unless it was a 20 and was being a complete dick about it. just straight up talking about me to the MO merch guy. i was like wtf? so i went 2 tables over and said the same thing to kevin devine's merch guy and that guy was uber nice about it. i ended up buying 30 bucks worth of KD stuff and tipped him just cuz he wasn't a douchebag like the dudes behind the BN table... sharkticon
When I sell merch I make it a point not to hold things for people. It's nothing personal against anyone, I've just been in situations where I've agreed to it and then word spreads and suddenly everyone wants me to hold their shit for them all night. I've only got so much space and so much memory. But yeah, that guy was a douche. He could've said "sorry, I can't." What's with everyone surrounding this band being a douchewhistle?
