earnyoursleep
in about a month's time, portland will be hosting its annual pdx zine symposium. i am looking for financial help in order to get another run of my first issue done, as well as the first run of my second issue. the zine is entitled EARN YOUR SLEEP, and it's self-published and self-written by me. its black and white and it follows the last couple years of my life. my girlfriend is also in the process of doing another run of her first issue, along with a second issue. we need some financial help in order to get a lot of copies printed up (they ain't cheap). if we can reach our goal in time, we will be able to table at the zine symposium and sell our zines and get the word out about them. so, please take a look at our kickstarter pages, donate what you can. it would be a huge help for us. thanks. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/deanomite/second-run-of-earn-your-sleep-issue-1-first-run-of http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/318902089/bird-shit-second-run-of-issue-1-printing-issue-

mcm1610
Yea, I can't imagine this is real, but either work for, I dunno, two weeks to earn enough to put it out, or it's not important enough to print and join the blogosphere.
AlexH.
The bummer about all these lazy Kickstarter projects is they have the potential to sour people on Kickstarter as a whole, when there are some awesome projects that could use it, like this one to start an awesome donut shop in Mpls: http://kck.st/9stj2W
earnyoursleep
this isn't a joke thread. the $250 donation goal will go straight back into the publications of issues #1 and #2. with the donation, i'd be able to do 100 copies of each. i have already self-published issue #1 before, and it set me back almost $2 an issue. so, selling copies at $2, i'd barely break even, and in fact, would lose a little bit of money. i am not asking for much, just enough to get another couple runs published in time for the symposium. some of you might not know, but a task like this is very pricey nowadays. i have no connections with anyone that work at fedex/kinkos/office depot/office max, and even "good" prices of 7 cents a page is a retarded sum of money. so, a little assistance is all i am asking for. AlexH.
i am not asking for much Then find the money yourself. Pawn your guitar, do yard work for people, sell some records. Do It Yourself. No one is going to give you money for your shitty zine in exchange for some hamburger recipes.
