H2O...vinyl related news

Recommended Posts

saw H2O in Baltimore last night with Wisdom in Chains, incredible show. anyway H2O announced that next year in honor of their S/T album's 15 year anniversary bridge9 will be reissuing it on vinyl

they also said they'll be having a covers album next year. I know, covers are lame, but I remember back in the day H2O would always play random covers live at their shows, and they were pretty awesome. also the "it was a good day/I want more" 7" is good shit.

other notable news was toby's son has a 7" coming out soon (i think the kid's like 6 years old). and expect new music from Hazen street (if you're into that)

Stoked about the covers album as they already said on Facebook what bands were to be on it and it were alot of hardcore/punk bands from the late 80s-90s. Already got the first lp and not too stoked about Max putting out a 7". I'll get it, but really how good can a 7 year old be? Also stoked for Hazen Street. Saw them on their first tour when they were still allowed to have Chad in the band.

Maybe I'm just being a negative nancy....but I feel like this is the sort of shit bands do when they aren't at their peak anymore, and at the top of a down word spiral.

- Cover Album

- Reissues

- Come back of a terrible side project nobody really liked the first time...

You didn't like Nothing To Prove? I thought it was their best work in a very long time.

well in comparison to Go, it's a goddamn masterpiece...but I believe he's speaking in general terms, and I agree completely.

Sort of the point, H2O isn't really at their peak anymore... not touring as much, records probably every 4-5 years at best, so now is a plenty good time for reissues, covers albums, etc. They've always been a band who could pull off great covers.

Re: the Max 7"... I love the concept, just a Dad (and Mom) supporting their son. The kid will probably think it's the coolest thing in the world, and given all the musical talent he has grown up around so far, I bet it won't be half bad.
