Derek™
An odd request, I know. I've been doing some wall re-arranging, and stumbled across a killer deal on frames. Long story short, I'm looking for one or three of the 28-page booklets that accompanied last year's Jane Doe deluxe press. Not sure if anyone's willing to part with their booklet... but if you're not crazy about it, for whatever reason, and would still like to keep the record itself... I'd be willing to pay a fair amount for it. It's more of an idea I'm toying with, so I'm not going to dent the wallet over it. Either way - let me know if you can help a guy out. Would totally appreciate it.
psychoriley
you'll have a better chance just buying the record, not sure if anyone would want to sell just the booklet.
Derek™
Yeah, I figured as much... it's kind of a long shot. I seriously don't need any more variants cluttering up my place, though. I wouldn't mind paying for the records if the price was right, but together with the booklet, I'm looking at $15 or $20 minimum. I'll probably just scour eBay for the common variants. If I do wind up with a bunch of extra copies, though, I'll probably sell them for the cost of shipping. Or donate them to the homeless. *edit* Aaand... ridiculous. I had no idea that the most common (or rather, second-to-most-common) variants were going for $60 on eBay. Not holding my breath on this project, but I'll do $10 PPD for anyone who's remotely interested.
somethingvinyl
Yeah, but those on eBay are the jackasses who mark everything up. They were that much when they still had some in the DW store. Just wait for a less common variant to come up on eBay. I bet you'd catch one under $20 within the next couple months.
kjkenney
revhq still has the repress for sale for $22: http://revhq.com/store.revhq?Page=search&Id=DWI72
deafmx
have you tried emailing Deathwish about it? i know they had some extra booklets for people that didn't get them in their orders for whatever reason. i'm sure they would be a possible alternative to wasting all that money on variants. they might have some had some overrun on the represses. tre and jbannon both post on this board all the time too. Derek™
Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. DW also has the black variant in stock for $22. I'd rather support the label than Rev HQ, if it came down to purchasing an extra. Deafmx hit the nail on the head, though. Easily the most practical approach, and I hadn't even considered it. Cheers for the suggestion. And if that flops... I bet you'd catch one under $20 within the next couple months. This may be worth a shot. I'll leaf through one of the booklets and see just how many I need. I'm assuming two would suffice. But even then, at $30 - $35 for two lucky auctions... meh. Solid places to start. My wallet and I thank you all.
timwt
I emailed DW cause mine didn't come with an insert, and they ended up sending me two. Pm me your address and I'll send you the extra one.
Derek™
That... would be nothing short of incredible. I insist on throwing in a bit extra on top of shipping, too, for your generosity. So appreciated.

Derek™
+1 for being an awesome helpful dude, timwt. those are getting more rare by the day. Absolutely. The dude persistently denied any sort of reimbursement, as well. Simply awesome. If I can ever do you a solid, Tim, let me know.

Derek™
Appreciation bump. This arrived super quick, and Tim was even kind enough to throw in a free 7". His generosity has me flabbergasted. I know not what to say, other than thank you. Sincerely. This made my week.
