dante3000
What this thread really needs is more talk about The Riot Before yes, awesome band. I'm seeing them Sunday. if they released/release something in 2008 I will post about it. Riot Before FUCKING KILL IT. I can not express how awesome they were at the Fest. I went in like, "this should be fun" and was just blown away. So much energy, such good music, so fun. I actually became friends with the guitarist who left (Garrett, rad dude). They're totally going to be the band kids will say they were into 2 years ago.
Guest genericinsight
Bump to express my love for these records: House And Parish - One, One Thousand RIYL: honestly... I'm lost for comparisons here. I'd say Texas Is the Reason since the band has a former TITR member, but they sound nothing like them... I'm gonna go ahead and say Interpol? counterfiction
I'm not positive since I haven't heard the whole thing but judging by the first single (Violet Hill) and the fact that Brian Eno produced it, Coldplay is the one I'm most hopeful about. Check out the video: http://www.imeem.com/pitchforkmedia/video/WDNoCSLb/coldplay_violet_hill_alternate_music_video/
