catalinacaper
By that I know you mean a "dark" comedy but you must realize it's hilarious to the rest of us to see that because in the States "black comedy" means a VASTLY different thing. what do you mean in the states? there isn't anything vastly different. he was correct in his meaning. black comedy and dark comedy in regards to film are the same. no matter where you are. like calling a cop a policeman. there isn't really any other use of the word describing this form of film genre in cinema. By in the States I simply meant to imply that it's different elsewhere than where he lives. You're right and I clearly said I know what he meant and that it's correct, but ask any average American to name a "black comedy" and I bet you it was directed by Tyler Perry. steventangent
I have seriously never heard any American use the term "black comedy" like that in anything other than an ironic sense. It doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
hipsterasfolk
Black the Ripper, Blacula, and Blackenstein. All these gems can be found in your local Walmart $5 DVD bin. On a serious note when it comes to vampire comedy... Rest in peace my sweet prince.

jerseydave77
I've seen every Ernest movie and with the exception Ernest Goes to Africa and In the Army, they are all great. Ernest Goes to Jail is freaking brilliant. I miss Jim Varney. And I swear the set design for the spiderman musical was stolen from this gem. Pee Wees Big Adventure is another good one but on the darker side.
almightyseancore
i just watched the original Little Shop of Horrors last night. the black and white one from 1960, with no singing. it was hilarious! the jokes are very dark and very well written. totally worth watching.
