lexicondevil
"Just to clarify, in our e mail we said that "mail order has just 100 copies of this limited release". This does not, of course, mean that there are ONLY 100 copies total! A few people seemed to think that they had stumbled on the deal of the decade, obviously if there were only 100 copies manufactured one would expect to pay $100, not $14.In this case it's a total run of 2,000 but I had wanted to emphasize that with this release, mail order would NOT be able to call back extra copies from distribution, as we sometimes do, as it seems to be an instant sell out . Our initial allotment of 100 is all we're going to have, and those 2,000 will disappear into the world market in a flash . Thanks, Suzy Shaw" Yeah, $100 for a limited to 100, this just makes me "of course" love Bomp? Thanks Suzy! It was more than a few people who thought it was limited to 100. It seemed unbelievable, but that is how it was presented on their website. They actually would have been really smart to limit this to 100 in this color just to generate a frenzy and create free publicity. They already have a purple and 180 black pressing for sale. I will put my refund money towards another color of the new Touche Amore record. Where is that by the way?
knowyourborders
$100 for a new release limited to /100 LOL yeah I found that to be pretty humorous as well.
molder
$100 for a new release limited to /100 LOL yeah I found that to be pretty humorous as well. It's like they want to be the distributor and the secondary market at the same time....doh
itmustbereal
I held off on ordering one, but I refuse to believe they didn't count on people reading that as "limited to 100".

And 2000 copies apparently constitutes an "extremely limited version" in their world.
Tim McCall
Clear is slowly becoming the 'color' of the majority of my LPs. Really? I have way more white vinyl than any other color vinyl. I don't own nearly as many of the records as most people who post here. I have maybe 100 and most are standard black. I think of all the non-black, your right, it is white, then maybe clear? itmustbereal
I've always heard clear is the best as far as keeping static down. Anynone know if this is accurate?
philviral
I've heard some people say that, and others say that it's by far the noisiest colour they've heard. So... yeah. On the subject of popular colours, red or white is probably second behind black for me.
derkwithano
color doesn't change sound. it's all vinyl.
itmustbereal
Right - but I think there may be something to clear vs. color(including black). I've heard the natural "color" is clear-ish and that black or other colors are added to the vinyl and its the coloring that can make it more susceptible to static. smashingpimp01
kinda pissed about this too. It's a good album but If i knew it were 2k copies of it I would've spent my money on the Adrenaline pre-order. Anyone have one of those they'd wanna trade? genuma
why would people be mad about it being less limited? it doesn't matter that much, or really at all.
deafmx
got this today. the clear vinyl is pretty scratchy on the A-side. anyone else have that problem? mostly just the first song.

Got mine last night too, also sounds funny. I heard a lot of distortion in the high end, figured my cart was just having issues tracking it. retrospectacle
As if I don't already feel bad enough about this whole fiasco, I'll have to check my copy when I get it. Bad to worse if it's true.

retrospectacle
I just listened to my copy and, thankfully, all sounded great. If there are any problems, they're not discernible to my ears (and I got some old, abused ears, to say the least).
