mattisr1984
why do people care about this? it should be called "those 2 guys from sublime and rome"
travis
This is actually better than I was expecting it to be. I think it sounds a lot like classic Sublime. I dont think its amazing but a lot better than I expected.

blueprintforjoy
it's summertime which means the comeback of such great bands like sublime and

elgato48
Sublime isnt sublime without brad. Rome sucks and I hate hearing him singing classic sublime
thacriddler
I also have a friend who's this total hippy type who's favorite band ever is Sublime. I played him panic the other day. He's so out of it that he didn't know they had been playing with Rome. Anyway, once I explained it to him and that he was listening to a new Sublime song, I thought he was going to cry. He really couldn't have been more pleased.

jordyedge
I don't think this is as bad as people are making it out to be. Rome seems like a talented dude.
andrewlucas
yeah he sounds good, very close to brad. but i dont know why, im just not interested in the new music. its just not the same to me.

xjustinxschwierx
they do this because fucking Bad Fish gets paid like $10K a night playing covers and these dudes get dick and they were in the band...I personally think Sublime's one of the most overrated bands of the last 25 years, but props to these dudes trying to make it work. thacriddler
This isn't going to be pressed on vinyl per fbr
travis
Apparently FBR is not aware of how well Sublime vinyl sells. I should probably tell them, Id carry this if they pressed it.

hipfunkrock34
sounds good, but I still don't like the idea that they are using the sublime name, even if "with rome" is tagged on to it, they aren't sublime without brad.

I remember seeing Sublime a bunch in the early 1990s at places like the Stone Pony and in NYC at the Wetlands. I was so into them and the crowds were around 100-150 people and they attracted an interesting mix of punk and ska kids the first couple times I caught them. Then they started getting radio play and I went to see them at a sold out show at the Wetlands and my friend Jerry and I were amazed at the stench of Patchuli and how many hippies were there. It killed the fun. The last time I saw them was at the Warped Tour the year they played. I did an interview with Bradley for a zine where he dragged me around drunkenly for almost three hours and onto their tour bus. His dog was pissing on every car in sight and he wanted to teach me what it meant to "pack my beak." They were sharing that bus with Orange 9mm and it was a very unhappy marriage. Fun Times. What's the moral? Fucking hippies ruining something I loved.
