thebiglebowski
Whats a good "craigslist price" for this? Already talked her down to $300. Still not sure if it is overpriced or not. Never played drums before. Just want a full set to eff around with for cheap until I figure it out. http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/msg/3444958708.html
kylekrische
Meh $300 is pretty decent, especially with the amount of sticks you get.
thebiglebowski
I'm in no rush to buy but I don't want to be completely unreasonable. Try for $250 I guess? Then "pretty decent" turns into "great price", right?
kylekrische
Yeah, it really all depends on what you want to do. If you're serious about trying to learn drums, you'll outgrown that kit in a couple months. If it is strictly to just fuck around on, have fun and maybe learn how to play some beats then its perfect
zac
Traded the SuperSonic 60 for an amp I can use with my guitar and bass. Pretty stoked. 1979 Musicman HD130 with matching 2x12.

thebiglebowski
I was just kinda effing around on craigslist and found this: http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/msg/3488892218.html For a dude who has never had anything but a little Marshal practice amp, will this be a fun toy? Is buying an amp from 1980 asking for constant repair troubles? Price good?

I'd steer clear of anything pre 2000's that isn't tube. they just don't sound very good. the Roland jazz chorus might be the only exception. controlthebleeding
pre 2000? there are tons of old vintage ss amps that sounded good. dean markley's, roland, peavey, gretsch, acoustic, yamaha, kustom, etc. really depends on what kind of sound you wanted. certain companies had models that were just excellent. if i could find a yamaha g100 like i use to have, i'd snag that up in a second. same goes for a old peavey and my tuck n roll kustom. ronniegwilliams
I have an old Marshall solid state that sounds amazing, I would put that up against any current Marshall tube any day. I don't play it often because my main amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deville, that and I tend to only play acoustic these days.
thebiglebowski
I offered the dude $150 and he didn't respond, so whatever.
