jblahmaster
Yes! they need to repress drukqs!
thieves
so i'm assuming this will have the two tracks that aren't on the u.s. cd version? it might justify my buying it, plus it'll look good with my drukqs box set

madtired
holding out for a real repress from the label.. but they don't seem to be in any rush! also -- the SAW II bootleg will not have the track(s?) that were exclusive to the vinyl in the first place. double-derp. madtired
Interesting.. so..not a "bootleg" but not authorized by the original label. However--still will be missing the vinyl-only tracks. $30 is tempting though.. https://www.facebook.com/warprecords/posts/141481355970497?notif_t=share_comment Paul Ashby: I work for Revolver USA, the distributor for the LP reissue - to be clear, the label only has the rights for the USA and Canada. stumparumper
I will still buy this. Fuck labels not re-pressing/re-issuing good records that are in demand.
koremora
Warp seems to be especially bad about not repressing stuff that is SCREAMING to be repressed. COUGH COUGH BOARDS OF CANADA COUGH
Guest
Yeah, Boards of Canada seriously need to be repressed ASAP. I am probably going to still buy this too. Beats paying for an original...
duckula
BoC represses are surely in the pipeline. It would be stupid not to. I weep at the prices Geogaddi goes for.

thieves
the fact that this is missing the two vinyl only tracks also leads me to believe the master was probably just cut from a retail cd. i like to listen to my cds on cd, no reason to add surface noise and all the other hassles of vinyl

robes
I was under the impression that the original vinyl press had one extra track, not two. Can anyone confirm that there were two bonus tracks not available on the CD version?
thieves
i guess it depends which cd you have. i have the u.s. version, which omits two tracks: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selected_Ambient_Works_Volume_II#Track_listing
tape
Apparently this is available now. I was under the impression that the original vinyl press had one extra track, not two. Can anyone confirm that there were two bonus tracks not available on the CD version? The UK (and everywhere else) original vinyl on Warp has one more track than the Warp CD. The US CD version was released by Sire Records and the Sire release has two fewer tracks than the UK vinyl (and one fewer than the Warp UK CD). It seems that this is a legit repress of the Sire US CD version onto vinyl.
