You're right, I didn't notice that, will pay the same shipment as well if any will survive the sale day to be left online.

I was wondering if I should hound Reckless to order this or not. I was assuming that if any stores in the area were going to order on their own volition it would be them but I could be wrong.

Does anyone know if the fact that dustygroove.com has this listed as being available in the future on their website means that they ordered it? I'm assuming it does and if all else fails I'll run over to them to try and snag it.

According to the order sheet, there are going to be 2500 of these.

Perhaps that's an indication that they're splitting it between North America (2500) and the rest of the world (2500). I don't know how accurate this 5000 number is but at this link: (http://rarelyunable.com/2012/03/01/ipecac-unveil-an-almighty-schedule-of-releases-this-spring/#comments) she claims she got the number from the label.

I've been operating under the premise that each of the three album are going to be single LP's as each album is between 40 and 45 minutes but does anyone (anyone nerdy enough to speculate in lieu of any actual updates) think they might go nuts and do 2XLP at 45 RPM?

Kind of hope its single LP as the lazy person in me only wants to flip discs once per album even though I realize 2LP 45RPM would sound better.

I now realize that if they had done 2XLP at 45 RPM they would have probably been referring to this as a 6XLP set. So that was a stupid thought.

They never say the real numbers. Meaning UK and US combined. Perfect example was that Black Friday Nirvana singles box set that was supposedly limited to 5000 but it was really more like double that. I could care less if an item is limited or not but I just wish they would announce the full pressing numbers so I could know which items I could sleep on for sure and which items I should grab the day of.

Yeah, I know. And it doesn't help that most of the major record stores in Chicago won't even entertain the idea of placing the order/request to the RSD Gods for certain items but rather telling me "just come in and hope for the best" in so many words. Simply because they refuse to do holds they're not even saying "sure, we'll place an order for that."

Yeah, I thought of that after I replied. Hopefully there will be enough for everyone who wants one and some left over for the late comers.

I think I managed to pre-order this thing from a local record store. They have a kiosk connected to a website (AMI, Alliance Music somethingorother) which had a listing for this and a pre-order option. I had one of the clerks there help me fill out a form for a special order and I had to pay in full on the spot, which was fine. So if I'm lucky, I could have guaranteed myself a copy on or around RSD. Either way, I'll try to wait in line in the morning somewhere like Reckless or Dusty Groove.

Dude, I've been wanting this yesterday since it was announced and even before I knew it was even going to happen. Easily the best RSD release of all time in my book. And I can't even tell you how much I'm anticipating not just the upcoming album itself but having it on vinyl as well. Good time to be a Tomahawk fan.

thanks!

man, this set is viagra-ing me. goddamn it, i hope i can get a copy down here. or from somewhere over there, shipped to here.

I know how you feel, man. As if you couldn't tell by my posting domination in this thread. The cool thing is that I've started writing up a draft for this release on discogs.com and I broke the tracks down in my draft just as they're listed here. I'm a nerd.
