salger12
I put the sealed record in two plastic sleeves and taped it up to avoid seam splits. I then wrapped it in bubble wrap and put it in a mailer. The mailer was a tight fit, but I taped the shit out of it. My only concern is that you can see the corners through tape, due to the volume the bubble wrap takes up. They don't seem to be able to contact anything, however. Should I be worried? ???

thomasj182
Is this real?
salger12
Is this real? Yes sir. I am legitimately concerned. It is a rare record and I had to make due with what I had. The record itself is snug and does not move around. Just that you can see some of the corners through tape. In hindsight, I should have covered them with something. But the bubble wrap took up a lot of space.

salger12
Why do people tape unnecessarily? I wanted to close up any possible spaces. It's rainy in NY...
RustyShackelford
But you left the corners uncovered?
One Hundred Fifty-Two
To avoid seam splits don't send sealed records.
salger12
But you left the corners uncovered? They are covered with tape and do not make direct contact with any surfaces.

[/quote As someone else expressed if its so rare and you're worried now, why wouldn't you take the time to get a proper mailer and package it correctly? Hope you don't get moisture in between the plastic wrap!
deafmx
sounds like he got a proper mailer. can no one read? you can tape the corners of the mailer to prevent water from getting in, you know? i'm sure with all the bubble wrap, it'll be fine though. jonnywreck
Shit, this dude must feel like the geek who walked to the back of the bus. Cut him some slack. Except for diabretic, because that made me laugh and sounds like something I would say.
salger12
What is the rare record in question? Not really rare per se, but valuable to me. Boxcar Racer.

Team Avatar
Seemed to me like you made the account just to be a troll. If someone sent me a record as you described, I would be like "wow they really care about the condition I receive the record, good for them".
