First post and this thread seems appropriate to wade into things. Life Aquatic is excellent, but my favorite is Human Traffic, especially the use of Orbital - Belfast.

I love Human Traffic. One of my favorites.

Itchy Triggah Fingah Niggas!

Not only music, that movie has some of the best quotes.

I'm making love to the music, man and believe me can I can go all night.

Jim Jarmusch uses music brilliantly in his films, for example, the repeating motif of Screaming Jay Hawkins' 'I Put A Spell On You' through Stranger Than Paradise. Also, the Skatalites in the background during a scene in Coffee and Cigarettes. Also, Tom Waits as an overall presence singing to himself all through Down By Law. In terms of soundtracks that work as an entity - Lost In Translation's is absolutely perfect, from the poignancy of the characters parting at the end of the film while JAMC's 'Just Like Honey' echoes in the background to the scene where Bill Murray is crooning Elvis Costello's 'What's So Great About..." in the karaoke scene. Every scene in that film is absolutely perfect.
