xlovecolouredx
http://youtu.be/oSd0keSj2W8 i just watched this and it easy to believe but it's hard to order mc donald's next time. it's not the fast food brand's false, but the art director, photographer and re-toucher are well done.... hankmurphy
An LSD-induced hallucination was responsible for my original aversion to McDonald's when I was 15. Now it's just because I know their food is garbage. A_Boring_Story
Guest
they should do a behind-the-scenes of why their food still looks the exact same after 6 months of sitting out in the open.

Guest realtalk
If what I read was true, McDonald's beef is actually cleaner than what we get in the grocery store. In regards to the non-decomposition of some McDonald's food? If molds and bacteria won't eat it... I will!
crime
All resturants do this. They want their food to look delicious not shitty like it was put together by a stoned 16 year old.
xadamhudsonx
If what I read was true, McDonald's beef is actually cleaner than what we get in the grocery store. It has to be cleaner because the quality of the "meat" being used is far below what you'd by in the store.
jerseydave77
When I was in High School my friends brother was a "Food Dresser" for Fast Food commercials. Sounded like a good gig at the time and he had these neat tablets that made cold drinks steam for the photos.
elgato48
Yeah this is done by all food places. No food at any restaurant ever comes out looking like it does in the pictures

BuzzersonKillwell
They actually do a good job at explaining why they look different and how when photographing for an ad they have a different set of considerations. Showcasing all the elements of a sandwich has a functional purpose. A brand like McD could spend the time to make the product look more like the ads, by implementing rigid processes, but it probably really isn't a primary concern for there customers. For the consumer, speed of preparation is primary concern. I commend them for making and releasing this.
hobohunter48
i must admit, my love for mcdonalds is undying. Same here, I used to work there and ate it a lot and still eat it on a regular basis. Guest realtalk
realtalk finds this interesting: Excerpt from McDonald's 365black.com page titled "What Is 365 Black?" (underlining/bolding by realtalk): "Like the unique African Baobab tree, which nourishes its community with its leaves and fruit, McDonald's has branched out to the African-American community nourishing it with valuable programs and opportunities." McDonald's is associating themselves with a susceptible demographic, goodness and nature through heavy imagery and careful wording. This passage would have been an obvious, no-brainer opportunity for McDonald's to mention that their food is nourishing, if only it were. Probably will never hear them use the word nourishing in a food advertisement.

mattisr1984
How does that video represent McDonalds in a positive light? Did I miss something?
hankmurphy
Nope. Showing a food artist working in a studio kitchen really has nothing to do with McDonald's. I would be more interested to see the processes used to create the food that people eat, not the work they put in to deceive through advertising.
