burntwolf
ok, i know i've said this before, but is it just me? w/ my new setup i've been going back and listening to some records that i thought were pretty disappointing presses sound-wise, and they were all vastly improved. except for this one. it just totally sounds like ass. does anyone else w/ a decent setup have this record? is the black vinyl any better? andystix
i have a pretty basic set up but in general, from the very first play it didn't sound all that great. it popped alot and just wasn't very good quality.
burntwolf
yea i actually sent my first one back and got a replacement that was only marginally better. it is real apparent (to me) when playing other records before and after this one. lower volume, very flat/muffled... chiefwahoo
I have a nice setup and my pressing of this sounds average. Completely unimpressive but nothing that leads me to believe it's any more subpar than the majority of records pressed in the digital age. andystix
maybe its just the blue version then. they feel cheap and extra flimsy to me.
toxicity
I have the blue and a pretty basic setup. I agree, it just doesn't sound good. Ironically one of the best albums in my collection, yet one of the worst-sounding records.
robobob
I agree. Have the blue and it sounds quite lackluster. I opted to play the cd that came with it to find out it sounds MUCH better. Disappointing for such an outstanding release.
