parkinglot
I texted my buddy "we're getting hammered tonight if I win my fantasy league". ONE FUCKING SHOT ON GOAL MORE AND I WIN.

blanchardoswald
I would have been in the finals with one more minor penalty. Life is fickle
parkinglot
How long do we have to wait for stat corrections? There's a solid chance one of us loses/gains a SOG.
IanRees
normally its the next day, i can wait to pay you guys out till like wednesday if you want though.
parkinglot
I noticed the stat corrections for the previous week weren't posted officially on Yahoo until yesterday. Also, this got me super excited, and then I realized it originally wasn't credited as a SOG: @DarrenDreger: Further video analysis confirms Methot shot did not go in the net. parkinglot
I'm so nervous. Its honestly ridiculous how close it is. 1 shot on goal. JVR was carrying the puck down the wing in OT, and I was screaming "shoot the fucking puck" at my TV. All he had to do was shoot it, but he passed. I was so rattled. Also if Pacioretty wouldn't have gotten injured after 2 minutes of ice time I would have won. OH WELL. Coulda woulda shoulda. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Congrats everyone for an exciting season of hockey! That was one of the best fantasy league ive been in in 15 years, top 5 for sure. All the trades, the wheelin' and dealin'! 28 trades were made, 30 draft picks were moved, with at least every team making 15+ moves during the season. This next draft is going to be crazy
thechrisformat
Thanks for letting me join this year, I really enjoyed how competitive the league was and spending way too many hours doing research and lineup juggling. It already feels weird watching games without the Stat Tracker open. Looking forward to next season already.
parkinglot
Looks like the stat corrections are in, and I have officially lost by 1 shot on goal. GG Chris. That was fucking intense.
parkinglot
But seriously, for next season, can we remove SHP, +/-, and saves/shots against, because those are redundant with SV% and GAA.
IanRees
Ill get you guys paid out today. yeah, we'll revise the stats a little, id like to add FO% ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yes, I back getting rid of +/- and SHP and replacing with FO% and something else!
blanchardoswald
I'm a fan of SHP, it's a good feeling when you get one. I'd be down with shot attempts if yahoo adds them now that the NHL keeps track
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We already have SOG
parkinglot
I'm a fan of SHP, it's a good feeling when you get one. I'd be down with shot attempts if yahoo adds them now that the NHL keeps track SHP is 99% luck/random. No one picks up a player because they have more shorthanded points than another player. And that takes the fun out of the strategic part of it. The less categories, the better for me. Simplicity makes it easier to actually make smart, insightful additions to your team. kylekrische
I'd vote out SHP and the goalie stuff other people said. I'd keep +/- tho especially in a keeper league, helps your really think about certain guys
IanRees
Personally im a fan of SHP and +/- so well have to put it to a vote. I would actually vote to remove P since its just G and A combined.
blanchardoswald
We already have SOG SOG are very different than shot attempts. The SHP argument makes sense, but a little bit of a luck bonus isn't a bad thing. It's only one point.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
a shot on goal is also a shot attempt, its double counting stats
blanchardoswald
a shot on goal is also a shot attempt, its double counting stats Yeah I hear you. When I judge players I value attempts over shots but shots are more conventional and probably should just stay.
IanRees
As much as I like Corsi I think just keeping sog is probably best
