¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's A Hockey Night with the HUGE week to upset onlettingjoe and make the playoffs. speaking of which, PLAYOFF TIME holy shit, how did that happen!? I was in the bottom 4 almost all season!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
my 3 keepers are Turris (out), Gallagher (out) and Price (out).
whoshotthefrog
I didn't make the playoffs, but I'm glad I was able to get a few early to mid round draft picks for next year. I also dig who my 4 keepers will be for next season.
onlettingjoe
i thought the playoffs were top 6...so no loss getting bumped out the final week
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i thought the playoffs were top 6...so no loss getting bumped out the final week to be honest, I did as well. I had resigned to not even checking the league after today... only to find I was the 8th seed
thechrisformat
It's ok... you don't have to check the league anymore. I will be ok with that.

Sidney Crosley
Ian, how does prize money work? Top 3? Winner take all?
IanRees
It always been winner take all
thechrisformat
I'm pretty sure last year's 2nd place finisher got their entry money back. EDIT: Just checked - last season, I paid $25 and my winnings that I got paid was $200 for first place. So, the remaining $100 must've gone to 2nd place. kylekrische
Yeah I was fairly certain we had a third place money back system for sure
IanRees
I think I can check league safe for how I split payments but I do remember doing 1st and 2nd last season now.
IanRees
Fucking Seguin is out 3-4 weeks, huge blow to my team.
kylekrische
Proposing for next year a minimum 3 goalie appearances a week. Didn't realize there was no minimum appearances until I saw 1st place was rolling one goalie. I don't know how others feel about it in the league but I'd like to at least put it forth as a potential rule change to be voted on.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, its kind of lame. Had he pitched a shutout he could have benched him the rest of the week, thats 3 points id never match

I don't mind the 1 minimum but you're definitely right that if you get lucky with one good game in the beginning of the week, you can roll through the week with good GAA and save pct. Maybe a minimum of 2 appearances? I'd worry that there are times when a team is rolling with their backup and you anticipate multiple starts but get only one in a week. One other option would be to count goalie appearances as a category, which would make it harder to just roll with one goalie.
kylekrische
My other league has done 3 starts minimum and it's been great at making sure people draft goalies, pay attention to who is starting and sort of balances out peoples rosters and gives everyone a chance to compete every year. It would obviously be up to the league to see how they feel about it
whoshotthefrog
I'm definitely in support of changing it to three games for next season.

6heart6breaker6
There was a tie in the first round between myself and knackered, but I was relegated to the losers bracket. How do they (we?) determine tiebreakers? E: found it- they go by regular season head to head win-loss-tie percentage.
