streetwaves
Why is this your dream receiver? Because of the amazing sound it produces. Pairs quite nicely with my AR-2ax speakers---straight up eargasms. danementzer

jase
You post Mcintosh on Audiokarma, everyone starts jerking off. You post Mcintosh on VC, *crickets*.... That's because it's not called a project Macintosh. People here don't care about quality(for the most part), they just care about following the herd

streetwaves
Or it's a super old receiver. Yes old Mc gear is nice, but vintage does nothing for me. To each his own. I don't listen to CDs or MP3s so vintage gear suits me fine. I also wouldn't want to drop the kind of cash on modern equipment that it would take to equal this sound. I like it warm and I like it loud.

To be fair to VC, the "Mac" line was the budget series McIntosh. If someone had bought a vintage MC275 and C22 I'd be insanely envious.
