toomanyrecords
Might be doing a trade and I'd hate to send albums and get nothing in return.
Out Of Time
Make a deal to get tracking numbers for the packages. It will tell you the weight of the package and everything. Not fool proof at all, but it's better than nothing.
drds89
I don't think it's a trading site, since they don't get their commission, unless you each agreed to buy each other's records at a reasonable market price. List for sale for a really high $$ / make offer, and then accept each others' offers at the agreed price. That way, discogs stays in business and no one is breaking any rules. If you saw the ad for trade elsewhere, but they are on discogs, too, then the above doesn't apply HTH ratbrain, somethingvinyl and passionbrand
toomanyrecords
I saw he had a record I want in his collection and offered stuff on his want list. He agreed. I'm not sure if your method would apply to this scenario
nothingnatural
I've done numerous trades through Discogs. I just make sure I deal with reputable sellers and we both ship on the same day with tracking. Yes, there's the possibility that someone with a lot of feedback may go sour but that's the risk you take.

If it's multiple items for his one item, divide the agreed upon price between the records you're giving him, and accept each others offers. drds89
