So Chino Moreno lists one of his biggest influences as The Cure, who can blame him? Robert Smith, lead singer/songwriter for the Cure, has stated that when they started they wanted to be 'the punk Beatles'. Well that was easy! 2 degrees of separation in influence from Deftones to the Beatles. Who knew? I know that won't make you say 'wow I love them now!', but it always interests me how reaching their influence is, on bands you would never think that would have any connection.
