  1. Pretty common, really. Oftentimes a TV score (or film score) will exclude the shorter cues, but if you take a look at more comprehensive or expanded releases, they virtually always include with those tracks. Pretty exciting that this release isn't leaving anything out.
  2. I honestly wouldn't sweat it, Adam. I haven't either. In the past, Mondo has packed and shipped single LP orders first before moving on to multiple LP orders. Also, chronology has little to do with it, traditionally.
  3. Indeed. EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting that folks should like the art just because Lynch does. I'm simply saying that part of the reason this release isn't an Olly Moss painting or a Taylor/Stout floating head-fest (not talking shit) is because this is the art Lynch approved (and we know he turned down a bunch) so lay the blame at the foot of the creator (Lynch) and not the label in this case. But, also, I get it; It's a wildly popular and beloved property and there's no way to please everyone. Imagine the shitstorm when the new series comes out. Oh, man, that's gonna be wild. I mean, wait until they get a load of Harry Truman!
  4. I'm picking up what you're putting down. As long as they put out all the tunes on those CDs on the LPs, I'll take whatever color wax they have laying about the plant. I'm as ready as can be.
  5. Because Lynch doesn't want it to. And while I dig the nostalgic tug for the original artworks, isn't this all about getting the music sounding good and on wax, affordably? Especially with the FWWM release, the original's fidelity is pretty iffy. This new release will be mastered from the original tapes for vinyl and cut to two LPs. That "should" be a better release. So if Lynch wants artwork that evokes, for him, the feel of his work over the corporate presentations of the original releases, so what? Ultimately, we are probably getting a better record of his and Badalamenti's work and that's the most important part.

  7. Some good stuff there. Big Star, The Hight School Reunion comp, Dilla, Xiu Xiu, and the Johannsson all jump out at first blanche. Is that meant to be the full list or just what's known for now?
  8. I think there's room for hope there, Lethal. Invada did those amazing Hannibal scores. There were two, 2xLP for each season and there were colored variants for each. Gimmicks aside, it was an incredibly thorough release series and the fidelity was quite high.
  9. Yeah, but not one of the limited ones.
  10. Noice! I was shooting for the Actual Donut variant/0, but it sold out instantly. Still hoping one of those commemorative logs shows up on eBay though.
  11. I just bought 3 records (one of them a 2xLP) from Mondo this AM and shipping's only $5, Clerk. No big deal. Plus, they have a no take backs policy.
  12. Effing quote feature. Agreed on both counts, Shlebs. Here's a picture:
  13. Is there a release date for The Fountain yet? If so, I clearly missed it. Twin Peaks will be widely available everywhere, including physical stores in a month, so I think the only reason to rush to order is if you need it now. I do so I will. Plus, I waited to buy Crash until something else popped up and this definitely qualifies. I can see how some folks are disappointed by this new art or the same tracklist, but there are loads of people that never got these scores on vinyl, or couldn't afford them, and Death Waltz made it pretty clear from the start that these were going to be straightforward reissues of the original releases with Lynch approved new artwork, etc. Overall, this is a pretty big win for most of us.
  14. Indeed. Puts me right off the thing, really.
  15. The World Wide Web. Seriously, I honestly don't remember. Twitter or somesuchness. Shortly after DWRC announced it was happening they were acquired by Mondo and now had folks in the US and EU getting preemptively angry about how expensive shipping would be or how impossible the good variants would be to find. DWRC said somewhere at that point that there would be one, relatively affordable variant for all and that it was the way Lynch wanted it so everyone calm down. That's the best I can do, but ut definitely happened.
