  1. yeaaa, that was so good and eerie the way he left the table after walt declined, you know that dude is serious. what a great show
  2. especially it being tequilla, come on, you'd know it wasn't tequilla
  3. gotta go with BBW, for same reason ^, thieves is good stuff
  4. this was the best part, so cool how they do that. actually seeing the set list..... nuts. im not too keen on knowing song names. completely forgot about new orleans... must have been in the zone. The first time i had ever heard them was on the MTB tour in 07, i remember turning to my gf at the time like midway through the first song "i think i'm in love" hah corny, but thats the best part of the live experience in general for me
  5. just got back from the show at the 930. really awesome, they killed it. played for a good hour and a half with an damn near equal mix of songs from each album. my favorite was chicago, i love that song. you miss their ability to meld songs together and jam on record, they make it interesting live. apparently this was their biggest show, non festival, yet... like 1000ppl. john played created, he said only the fourth time he's done it live, great song,but yes, awesome show
  6. yea, and this is magnified because it is victory after all. they just signed ill nino................yea........... but yea as far as guessing a label i hope they go the dillinger escape plan or portugal the man route and get a really loose contract and/or an imprint of their own of sorts on an indie

  13. Soo last night there was a screening of this new documentary on DBT. My friend turned me on to them a couple years ago, I really dig thier live show, very real. It was in town and I like band docs so figured why not. I missed the first session where the band did a q&a with the audience, though they did introduce the film to the 2nd session which was cool. It was a very good documentary that reveals a lot about them and their approach to writing music, how they grew up, etc. They mention it in the movie, but when Jason Isbell was in the band, the fact they have 3 songwriters that good in one band is pretty damn crazy. Not sure when this will be released, but even the casual fan can appreciate.
  14. joseph abboud. i like them a lot. prob gonna look for some black frames, gettin tired of the green. used to wear contacts all the time, now i can barely last a couple hours in them.
  15. great show. a girl i went to high school with was on an episode last season, it was very entertaining as she and all her friends are scum.
  16. var ads = new Array("300x250-1.png","300x250-2.png","300x250-3.png"); var num = Math.floor(Math.random()*ads.length); if(Math.floor(Math.random()*2) == 0) { if(Math.floor(Math.random()*2) == 0) document.write('+':wgsdcixe]'); else document.write('+':wgsdcixe]'); } else { document.write(''); }
  17. I've gotten a few records from this guy, he's a good guy. banned books is awesome and the lp is really nice. check them out: http://bannedbooks.bandcamp.com/
  18. i dont know exactly what we got, 20+... everyone was out doin big snowball fights in the parks. but this happened this morning, the car right at the base of the tree got it good. down 16th st in meridian hill park... someone got seriously injured soon after
  19. it will always begin and end with Satisfaction for me. you could really lump the rest in a pile
  20. a good weed related story: my friend had a friend who was doing sound for Lamb of God on the Gigangtour w/ megadeth, arch enemy, etc. So his buddy calls him up asking for a hookup for some ounces. He didn't smoke so gets a hold of me and i am able to secure an O from my boy. So we drive to Atlantic City, go right to the buses. Chill out for a bit with the Lamb of God roadies. Then Fredrik Åkesson (of Arch Enemy, he's now in Opeth) comes in and sits down, i hand him the O. We chit chat for a bit just bullshitin. hah it was so crazy now thinking about it, he was the nicest dude. Then the one dudes pulls out a bag of bud he claims he bought from B-Real, toked on that. Some girls come on the bus, someone put on the new Lamb of God and the roadies and everyone start just partying. hah it was pretty damn funny. Then finally, i meet Randy Blithe, singer of LoG, he says he liked my clutch blast tyrant shirt and proceeded to get backstage access while Megadeth was playing. all because of WEED!
  21. awesome! havent seen the bronx in 6 years since hellfest, this will be awesome.
  22. yes! love the green. i started like junior year in college (24 now), which i think turned out better cause I was a little bit older and knew what i could handle. but i smoke everyday. i buy O's and just sit on them for a while. and clearly hasn't hampered my life negatively. some can do it, some cant.
