  1. Animal Collective - Feels LP and a couple Radiohead CD singles I didn't have yet for just under $25. Awesome.
  2. Deluxe box set sounds nice. Gotta keep the Killers LP collection complete.
  3. Vampire Weekend - A-Punk 7" Arcade Fire - Reflektor 12" Local Natives - Gorilla Manor
  4. Did anyone see the photo of the green vinyl in one of the Polyvinyl newsletters a week or to ago? The color looks really nice.
  5. This is definitely one of those albums where hearing the songs live helps you "get" it more. Still probably in my bottom half for Killers albums, but it's solid overall - and the double 45RPM LP sounds really great.
  6. Grabbed the last download for The National, thanks!
  7. I for one am quite happy this will be readily available again. Transatlanticism is one of my all-time favorite albums but I never had the guts to drop big bucks on it. Sure, $30 isn't great, but the original US press is usually $50 minimum so I'm not complaining.
  8. Yeah, the whole no US shipping sucks. I'm going to wait and see for now if any other distributors sell it, since it doesn't explicitly say the box set itself is exclusive to their webstore, just the option to preorder it is.
  9. Just got this email: On 21st October, Suede release "The Vinyl Collection" a definitive box set containing all 6 studio albums ("Suede", "Dog Man Star", "Coming Up", "Head Music", "A New Morning", "Bloodsports"), plus "Sci-Fi Lullabies" (the 'must have' B-sides collection) on heavyweight vinyl. This will be the first time that "A New Morning" and "Sci-Fi Lullabies" have been produced on vinyl. The highly collectable box set will be numbered and limited to just 1500 copies. Check out a trailer to the box right here: "The Vinyl Collection" is available to pre-order exclusively through a new Suede store, with the first 150 pre-orders getting a free tote bag and t-shirt. All orders through the store will also feature a free download of the entire box set. http://www.myplaydirect.com/suede/features/28797610?current_country=GB
  10. Damn, that one took me forever to find for a decent price... I bought it online from Amoeba a while back. Of course, I got it in the mail and the tape itself is folded and stops around The National Anthem. I'll try to fix it eventually but it was disappointing to say the least.
  11. Boston Calling in a couple weeks and hopefully of Montreal in October.
  12. I've had decent luck with Cure records around here, but it's a lot of the same stuff and usually overpriced. I probably see The Head on the Door and those Elektra promo 12" singles from the mid-80s the most. Most of my Cure collection has been bought online as well; every once in a while I get some decent scores on eBay, and I've imported some of the cooler UK releases like the purple Let's Go to Bed 12". Show/Paris boxset would be perfect, two of the few albums I'm missing. Cure vinyl from that period is ridiculously expensive... anyone ever see the prices Bloodflowers brings these days?
  13. Here's my small collection... for the most part I just pick up cassettes when I find them cheap, but I'll buy a few online every once in a while if I really want something.
  14. Getting a Wish repress would be awesome. I still need to track down those UK RSD color presses from last year; I almost bought the KMKMKM one this year, but I couldn't justify the $36.99 Newbury Comics was charging when I have a NM original pressing already.
  15. http://www.roughtrade.com/albums/75223 'Factory Floor' is exactly what you'd hoped it would be - and more! Everything they have done so far leads right to this point and the time they have obviously taken over getting this as right and exact as they possibly can is evident from start to finish. You can feel the influence of Chicago, Detroit, Berlin and New York City running through it's clipped electronic grooves yet this could have only been made in London. A stunning album and one of the best debut's ever. Hands down. For fans of New Order, Moroder, Chris and Cosey and Kim Gordon. Exclusive Rough Trade vinyl version - 300 copies only on Yellow vinyl with CD version and Exclusive Bonus CD. 40 bucks shipped to the US... ouch.
  16. Did you buy any concert tickets from Ticketmaster/LiveNation lately? A few months ago they gave me a free subscription with one of my ticket purchases that I was totally unaware about. I got an email about it a little while after I received my first issue.
  17. I'm always on the lookout for these, but I can never seem to find them anywhere. There are some neat music ones I'd love to find someday, such as The Cure In Orange as mentioned before.
  18. I find it hilarious that not only is a company like Universal looking for crowd funding, but that most of the albums mentioned have been pressed or re-pressed in the last few years already.
  19. Street date October 8th, now up for preorder at Polyvinyl, including mail-order exclusive seaglass green vinyl limited to 1500.
  20. I'm on the fence about this one - I already have the regular pressing and picture dics are sub-par in sound, but it looks so nice. Always love and excuse to buy more oM records.
