I think that tattoo looks really dumb, and I think that threads like this show that we are currently a little bored on this site.

I try to live by the philosophy that any time spent bashing a band or artist you don't like is wasted time that could be spent seeking out new music to enjoy.

I like going into these PO threads and just checking it out. If I like it enough to order it I do, if I don't like I leave without bashing the songs or anyone's taste in music. Sometimes I'm tempted to chime in with some crack about how awful some band is but it hasn't been too bad.

This thread was my breaking point......

    ...that is all.....

I honestly felt like kicking your ass last night.

I'm ashamed of that because I've never once felt that way in the history of posting as Moonbeams. I think my reaction is some kind of endophenotype of an evolutionary-based primal response for protecting family.

You called someone unrelated to this forum "lazy," but don't know the circumstances. She's from a culture that writes addresses on one line from prefecture to addressee (reverse order), omits the postal codes because they are not necessary, and doesn't even have names or numbers for streets.

Plus, their post office is so good, that one time I received a record with all the numbers on the address wrong and the address misspelled. It was a city of several million people, but they still figured out where to deliver the package.

This comes down to one of those "meaning of life" opinions. Science says we're only given one life, probably. Most people will agree with that.
For my life, I've chosen the run of the mill heterosexual marriage. Bought a house last year, plan on having kids, and I have a job that I don't like that much, but I'm "happy"
For her life, she's chosen something very different. But fuck, I'd argue that she might even be happier than me. And I'm pretty happy. She clearly doesn't give any fucks about how people view her. She says whatever she wants, seemingly whenever she wants to. That's more freedom than I can say I have. It must be pretty invigorating to live like that, I would imagine.
That being said, she's probably batshit crazy too.
And I'm glad I'm not batshit crazy.
It's all in the eye of the beholder, right?

Did you really make a new thread because you messed up on the first one?

Also, I've made it my civil duty to reply to every thread you make. Mark my words. Except that one about the Devil Wears Prada or the other one about The Upsides. Those are too far gone in the past to bring them back to light. BUT from here on, it's you and me till the end.

Nothing has really done it for me since "Graduation." I've put every release since that on the back burner after a few listens. Not to say they weren't exceptional. He's one of the best. But there was no lasting appeal for me, personally, so the only things about him that resonate with me as of right now are the ridiculous tabloids and stories from the media. Still excited, nonetheless.

Well, my team coming into the year was:
Braun, McCutchen, Cespedes, Heyward, Encarnacion, Kinsler, Hosmer (ugh, shouldn't have done that, should have kept Cueto or Zobrist intead), Hanley (traded Billy Butler and BJ Upton for him to cut down on spots), Sale, and Darvish. Didn't keep Cueto, Zobrist, Medlen. Waited on pitching, everyone felt pitching would be my weak link this season. At the very least middle of the pack, not close to the top, and definitely not better than my awesome offense.

After everything that's been going on with Kanye and the Kardashians and his over-inflated ego, I kinda forgot that Kanye was a musician. This new song is sweet though

    Whenever, If Ever
Today was an exciting one here at our office as it saw the unveiling of two very special, near and dear records and our first foray into putting out a book (even if it has 200 pages and probably less than 200 words, haha). The humbling feeling of validation when you see something you believe in getting such widespread praise and support is something I hope everyone gets to experience at some point or another, even if in just some simple small way. The response to these records going on sale today — the culmination of years of planning, writing, setbacks, collaborating, personal sacrafice, etc. — is just that. So I’m sure when I say thank you for your support I speak for Hilary, Evan, everyone here at Topshelf and everyone in The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, collectively.

So now, I am faced with the difficult decision of acknowledging thatWhenever, If Ever is actively leaking a month before it’s release date. You can probably Google for it right now and get it.

This is arguably the biggest release we’ll have all year as a label and this spoils a lot of planning we had in place over the last few months, but these things happen. This also forces me to acknowledge the real-world truth that yes, records cost money. This oft-avoided subject in our community is a reality for everyone who tours or postpones real life to make music in nearly any capacity. It’s a thing. This record is no different.

So against my better judgement, we’ve made Whenever, If Ever available to:

download on bandcamp immediately for just $7.
listen to on bandcamp for free.
listen to on soundcloud for free.
and, of course, order physically on CD or vinyl.
Anyone who has pre-ordered the record already — thank you, sincerely — you’ll be getting downloads as soon as I can get everything set up (we weren’t planning on sending them for another month after all).

So, I’m appealing to you all to please use the above URLs to share, acquire and experience this record. I understand it’s 2013 and you can download and share this for free (and we’re not going to stop you) but I’m not doing my job if I don’t ask. Heh, I don’t have a job if I don’t ask.

    Thanks, you guys.

I just really hope that this record builds off of what "Gravity, Metaphorically" was. I was super impressed with that song, and I hope that means that we can see songs similar to that. And that also means songs over two minutes.
