  3. Saw it in Chicago and stood next to Tony Brummel during Thursday's set and the look in his eyes was like "yes....this is the start of something...".
  4. Yeah there was weird merger about a year ago and both bands are now technically on BMG but their releases will have Vagrant logos on them. INDIE CRED!
  5. My black copy is scuffed to shit but played just fine on my turntable. A little bit of noise at the beginning of the last song on side A but otherwise sounded good for how fucked it looked.
  6. I thought that song was political in nature. I never actually took it at face value as being about abuse.
  7. Well they're about to tour on Hello Rockview and Losing Streak so hopefully those.
  8. I got mine today as well. Nice heavy piece of vinyl. I don't think its 180g but definitely heavier than the Run Forever record I also just got.
  9. Mine's been sitting at the USPS Destination Facility for 2 days. Was really hoping to get it today. Oh well. What's another couple days?
  10. Just ordered a purp from DW. They also have the black.
  11. Here comes my completely uninformed super best guess as to what happened with No Sleep Records. I wonder if Hopeless Records* invested in No Sleep. It was this time last year that I started noticing the pattern of an EP/7" preceding an album release. This is something MCA made Drive-Thru do. The sales of the EP/7" determined how much money MCA was willing to spend on the album release. Meanwhile Drive-Thru was on the hook for the cost of the EP. So Hopeless gives Chris a big advance. Meanwhile dude starts having a house built in Southern California. It's not cheap to rent an apartment let alone have a home built from scratch in Southern California. He also buys a brand new Range Rover. Meanwhile, his gambles on Somos, Run Forever, Ghost Key, etc are not paying off. These records were definitely not selling at the level of La Dispute, Moose Blood, or even Drug Church. Now honestly I have no clue as to what happens after this. Hopeless stops funding future releases and Chris spent the advance? Now there's nothing left to run the label as expected? I wish the dude best of luck and hopefully the catalog can fund some future releases. It also must be a bummer that this happened on the 10th anniversary of the label. But they definitely seem done. *Or anyone or anything but it is curious that all the bands are shifting to Hopeless post No Sleep.
  12. He also told someone else that the vinyl is cream colored.
  13. Grabbed a black. Was intrigued by 180g Clear but my Intersections is on Black so.....might as well keep the set going.
  14. Just got this email from No Sleep. We just found out the update we sent out in early December did not send due to a server issue, which should be fixed now. If you preordered a LP copy of Hit Your Head from Drug Church - the records were a bit delayed at the plant, but currently are in route (and some have arrived) with our new fulfillment center and they will be handling fulfillment of your preorder shortly. Currently they are awaiting the rest of our stock to arrive by freight and once it is all counted in it should get out. We were hoping to have all of these preorders out prior to our warehouse move, but sadly they just did not arrive in time. Your preorders will be out soon, terribly sorry for the inconvenience.
  15. I was told yesterday by DW that they just came in and are shipping out now.
  16. got mine yesterday as well. It has a nick at the top of it. We'll see how well it plays when I spin it tomorrow.
  17. It doesn't say Big Scary Monsters anywhere on it. There is a logo next to the Triple Crown logo that is a steak inside a circle. I have no idea what that is.
  18. This is all black except for like a 1in by 1/2in piece of clear in it. No orange at all.
  19. I hate to be this guy but when I saw them in Chicago the other night I bought "Intersections" and it is a black record with 1 or 2 small clear streaks. Its definitely not 180g. So is this a new.....undocumented pressing/variant? Has there just been a standard black pressing?
  20. Hey y'all! I'm having a baby in February so I'm thinning things out a bit. Here are some auctions for Sunny Day Real Estate "How it Feels to be Something On" Cursive "The Ugly Organ" (Black first press!) Poison the Well "You Come Before You" (transparent gold!) Trail of Dead "Source Tags and Codes" Thursday "Waiting" (First press on clear!) These Arms are Snakes "This is Meant to Hurt You" (transparent pink!) http://www.ebay.com/sch/maybemab/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  21. So I listened to this album last week and it bored me to tears. Piano driven rock songs that end in the same place they began. Then I saw them on Saturday night and they were incredible. Went back to listen to this album again.....and same thing. It was boring. What is the key to unlocking this album because I can't find it?
  22. The special guest is Into It Over It. They said that on their Facebook page. Also, the remastered 30 Degrees Everywhere? How did i miss that? Are they available as stand alone MP3s?
