Yep, echoing the sentiment - really cool remake. Definitely glad they priced it at $40, but loving all the little new things and attention to detail. Looks like VV had fun making this, which is great because I'm having fun playing it.
Guess I'm not surprised most people on Reddit are blitzing it and just 100%ing the game as fast as possible. To me, this is golden-era gaming that's just perfect for picking up whenever other modern shit requires way too much attention/energy. So good.
Yeah I played for 2 hours last night and only competed 2.5 levels because I was just free skating for most of it and enjoying the soundtrack.

Did anyone else pick up THPS today? All the reviews I've watched and read have said mainly great things. I didn't preorder because I got burned on the THPS5 preorder but I'm gonna pick it up after work. The only negative feedback I saw is that you can't customize professional clothing skaters the same way you would with your build a skater and one reviewer said they felt like there was an auto-detect stopping them from doing some really big tricks. Otherwise it sounds perfect. I'm surprised we have a new Tony Hawk game that isn't loaded with bugs.
Started it last night as well. It’s super fun and feels just like the old ones. Couch Co-op too.

I dont understand the logic with this. Are Nintendo trying some FOMO tactics? Wouldn't they make more money if it was regularly available for the rest of the switches life? Or maybe they're gonna piece the 3 games off after the date? Either way I think it's dumb but fuck it, I'm excited for the collection and for the Super Mario 35, 3D World should be awesome as well.
Yeah that's the rumor is that come April 2021, they'll be available separate but full price.

Gonna go indie on this one as the shipping is high and it’s getting annoying to pay every 3 weeks for one. Should’ve launched all of them at once. Plus the variants are kinda meh for all colors.
Glad it’s coming out though.

Happy about the Mario collection. Wish it was remastered more but updated aspect ratio is nice. Weird that it’s limited physically and digitally though.

Longest I’ve ever done the line for was over 12 hours. That was the year that paper bag Deja came out. Great list that year.
usually I’ll do 8 hours or so early and bring a tent and just sleep most of it with headphones on. This year was the first time I didn’t go early for a main RSD since like 2011.
Speaking of 2011-2012 era those were the days when you could show up ten minutes before opening and be first in line.

YES. Loved their cataloging and how simple and concise it was. I hate having to look through 100+ versions on discogs for my copy.
plus their forums were good for trades

Next two drops should be pretty empty in stores. I can’t see crowds going out for most that stuff. Nothing high demand really.

He needs a full reissue campaign and/or box set.

Strolled into my local a few hours after opening and got Tyler, both Cure, both June of 44 and Army of Darkness. Easy.

Umm...excuse my ignorance, but listening to him live is basically listening to an album. Condor Avenue live sounds like Condor Avenue from Roman Candle. So, just the second disc is worth the cost of admission here. I haven't even listened to the remastered s/t yet. ❤️
The b sides/unreleased live songs are the best part.

What is this perspective for? The issue about this hobby is the fact that you need to be aware and vigilant for drops of anything you like at all times and buy it right away. Everything has basically been reissued already lol.
I'd say the waiting game will come in handy if you're waiting for the vinyl bubble to pop though.
I don’t think the bubble will pop, more or less deflate. It has a bit in the past few years with constant reissues and represses. A lot of stuff that used to be $50-60+ on the aftermarket is only like $30 now.
on the opposite end, when stuff becomes rare it skyrockets now. Lots of hip hop and pop presses that were limited jump straight from sold out to $100+ and don’t come down.

Ummm I kinda like it. I don’t buy 7” anymore but it’s a fun song. And if it didn’t have the Jessie’s Girl parts it’d be a great Coheed single.

The Dusk In Us is similar

I went with Bullmoose. I like the clear better, but not so much that I could justify the extra money.
Same, grabbed the new Angel Olsen with it too to get that free shipping.

What a time to make something available that requires people to go to into enclosed spaces with other humans to get it.
Edit: glad she's supporting indies, though.
Don't people work during the day? lol how does every store sell out by midday. get a job swifties.

Hot take. The latest album is my favorite of his since Dusk and Summer. Just wish it was longer.
