Arcade Fire's "Reflektor" single.  Paid $13 at my local record store for a single for a band I don't really like, and a song I had never heard.  That's when I decided I will never again buy a record based on hype.

...BUT IT WAS LIMITED TO 750 COPIES!!!!! 
 
first time i listened to that album was on my copy of the boot missing bound 2 and I didnt even notice, I had never heard it and didn't know it should be there.  Album did end kinda weird though.
 
I don't know if buying modern boots for long term financial gains is really the smartest place to put your money but if you enjoy collecting and listening to music on vinyl then buy them boots!  I have a bunch and love them like my legits.  
 
If anyone is spending $100 on that childish or other crazy resale prices instead of waiting for next batch of 500-1000 that will be practically indistinguishable from the first batch, is a dedicated music consumer with deeper pockets than I.

I got my copy today.. haven't had a chance to spin it yet but wow its really nice looking. really impressed.

Is it really wasting money if you listen to and enjoy the record?

I had originally bought this used and it had tons of surface noise from being mishandled.  I am giving that copy to my buddy.

I put all my records in MOFI sleeves. It's worth the investment, in my opinion.

I've bought/traded with him several times outside of VC (in real life, gasp!) with no problems.

I have most of the Mastodon records (except the box set) and I havent been that happy with all these Relapse variants at all (Remission, Leviathan) - the sleeves look amazing, but records themselves are really poor in quality (dished and/or warped) and in sound. I have about 4 variants of Leviathan and 5 variants of Remission. All the newer records (Crack The Skye 2LP, Blood Mountain reissue 1LP and reissue 2LP, The Hunter 1LP and 2LP) sound amazing compared to the Relapse records.
 
I already have this on CD, so I think Im going to pass at the moment.

If it doesn't have a lenticular cover, I"M NOT INTERESTED.

First of many.  Its quite common and out of 1000 "new/newish" records I cant remember ever coming across one where the warp had any noticeable effect on the sound.

Looking for a vg+ or better copy.  Have some stuff to trade and/or $$$

I just had to bump this because I saw the movie in a theater yesterday and it was just fantastic. I felt a very real and deep connection to it and I feel like a lot of people can feel the same as I do because it's so well done. I love how minimal it is. The soundtrack takes a front seat in the movie along with the gorgeous cinematography and the superb acting of Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch. I highly recommend seeing it in theaters if you can or at the very least renting it on demand or on itunes. I didn't even know that it was available on demand and on itunes starting on the release date, so that's awesome that they made it so accessible even though it's in limited theaters. I'm glad I saw it in a theater though because the sound is larger and the cinematography is just that good. I loved this soundtrack prior to seeing the movie and I love it infinitely more now after seeing the movie. If you're on the fence about buying this or seeing the movie...do it. Do both. You're welcome.

hard to be quicker when you're on the site before it goes on sale.. snag it in your cart 5 times and it gets pulled out each time.. but I get what your smart @$$ comment was all about.. 
 
No worries waiting for a repress or them individually, but it would (obviously) be nice to get it sooner than later.. 

If it's a blue cover then it's not the brown pressing.
It's either a random color variant form the 5th pressing that became brown or its maroon from the 2nd pressing.

I'll give you $20 for Crisis.
