  1. On Target: Agreed they ship terribly, and that the B2G1F is hard to pass up. However, it is important to note that Target has great customer service, and will often give you a full refund, and you don't have to return the item. A couple of examples: I ordered a record from them a few months ago, and the first copy was destroyed in a plastic bag. I sent it back, and got a replacement, which was in a giant box. The second copy was only slightly dinged, but I complained again. This time I didn't have to send it back, they sent a third copy, and I got a full refund. I wound up with two copies of the record for free and sold one on Discogs for 50% off. So I made money off this Target experience. Then one of my kids got two of the same $20 LEGO set for Christmas. One was from me, and one from a grandparent. I bought mine from Target, and went online to return it. To my pleasant surprise, they refunded me my money, and then told me I could keep or "recycle" the set.
  2. I got two emails from the official store. One had the subject "refund notification", and the other was a longer response from customer service to my original cancellation request.
  3. Also, this is now available from Target for pre-order for $14.79; plus they have the buy two get one free deal right now.
  4. FYI I just got my refund on this from the official store.
  5. Confirming my mobile experience is terrible. So many ads, and agree that that the format is screwy; on my phone the text gets cut off on each side. At this point I just plan to use the boards on my laptop.
  6. I bought an Orbit Plus in August of 2018 and I love it. I had to replace the stylus back in the fall, and had some alignment challenges, and like was said U-Turn was easy to communicate with through email. The only thing I don't like about the turntable is manually moving the belt from 33 to 45 rpm--sometimes it falls off and doesn't go back on as easily as I would like.
  7. Interesting. I was a HUGE Evanescence fan from 1999-2004 (discovered them early through a connection to their first indie label BigWig), but lost all interest after their 2005 album. I was going to ask if the new stuff was any good, but I noticed in the press release that they have three new singles already streaming, so I'll check them out.
  8. I contacted my local record store and they were able to put in a special order on the Fountains of Wayne- s/t red transparent for me. They said they will get it in early March and call me when it arrives. I did also order it on Amazon, but it seems Amazon has a sketchy history on whether or not they fulfill Music on Vinyl orders; so I may cancel or return that one.
  9. Never mind, found it on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/Fountains-Limited-180-Gram-Transparent-Colored/dp/B08SFVQ36V/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=fountains+of+wayne+red+transparent&qid=1610853743&sr=8-1
  10. Anyone found this in the US yet? Looks like Bullmoose maybe had it (or will?): https://www.bullmoose.com/p/34929957/fountains-of-wayne-fountains-of-wayne-transparent-red-180g-vinyl
  11. Barsuk Media Mail is $3.33. So the total is $19.33 (no tax, at least from my location). I ordered from Barsuk and canceled my store (Live Nation) order.
  12. I pre-ordered this yesterday as well, was glad they pressed it on vinyl (and peach!). I assumed they would eventually. The extra $10 for tax + shipping was discouraging, but didn't seem like there was anywhere else to order from.
  13. Middle Kids second full-length drops on March 19. They debuted the second single about an hour ago along with the pre-order. I absolutely love this band, one of my favorites from the last few years. I ordered the "Exclusive Limited" Purple Splatter LP from Domino. Black variant also there. Bandcamp preorder, digital and black vinyl.
  14. I just got my shipping notification from Merch Central--I can't wait to see this, hold it, and spin it. Wound up as one of my top 10 albums of 2020.
  15. I commented on this a few weeks back (as I was really fortunate to get my copies of "Folklore" early), but even with the TS store variants, the quality differs. I have "In the Trees" and "In the Weeds", and Weeds sounds significantly better all the way through. Trees side C is flawed and unlistenable, but even sides A, B and D are richer on Weeds.
  16. At this point I have resigned myself to not owning 'Reputation' on vinyl until she re-records and re-releases it. I have read so much about how bad the picture disc sounds (almost grabbed it off a Target shelf a couple of times, but ultimately passed), and definitely not paying hundreds of dollars for the orange 'Reputation.' Totally agree that the orange 'evermore' is perfect. I ordered the green, but the orange matches the artwork way better.
  17. Yeah, I love my 2007 Graveface Mare Vitalis pressing, so I didn't order the new variant. And good tip on Peregrine--as that 2006 pressing is not the best; especially with the bland artwork. I just checked out the Discogs photos of the 2016 pressing--looks great and resale prices are low; and great to hear that it sounds awesome!
  18. Haha. Amazingly, despite being a fan of Appleseed since seeing them play in 1998, today is the first time I have bought a second vinyl variant of any of their albums. I just reviewed my Appleseed collection, and the 2006 Gilead LLO pressing was actually my first Appleseed Cast vinyl record(s). Then I bought Peregrine from Graveface that same year, and then just followed along and bought all the albums as Graveface put out new Appleseed albums and reissued the old ones. The major gap in my collection had been "End of the Ring Wars" until I picked that up earlier this year.
  19. I didn't go through the checkout process for Steadfast or BTV, as I am in the US and bought from Bandcamp, but I am guessing either of those has much better shipping policies for Canada and the rest of the world. Also, it sure seems like the white variant is actually going to be in indie stores.
  20. I kind of feel bad for Steadfast Records and Burnt Toast Vinyl; even with the band variant being delayed by 10+ minutes, TONS of people are going to buy copies and then want refunds when the band puts up theirs. Also, this seems like a pretty large run? Gotta be at least 1000 with an indie exclusive not on any of these sites by itself?
  21. I am thinking the band variant will be a combination of all three like in the photos? So maybe that is the one that will be up on their Bandcamp.
  22. Vinyl is up on Steadfast: https://www.steadfastrecords.net/product-page/the-appleseed-cast-low-level-owl-volumes-i-ii-3xlp-vinyl and cassette and vinyl on BTV: https://btv.foxhole.info/btvstore/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=btv123
  23. Thanks; ordered! Grabbed that and the evermore vinyl; so $51 total and free shipping.
  24. I stayed up til midnight and got about 10 songs in before falling asleep. Finished the album this morning and now halfway through my second listen. I am loving it. Folklore is my favorite TS release, and this is more of the same, so I am eating it up. Definitely more upbeat and poppy, but not in a way that is similar to her older work. Honestly I am still so happily surprised/shocked she went this direction with folklore and evermore; seems surreal when I think back a few years. Struggling with how to buy it. Currently using Apple Music to stream, and have the vinyl in my cart, but due to how long it will be before it's pressed, obviously no rush. Especially if I don't get the instant digital download. I also want to get the free shipping, but unsure of what else to add to my order. Anyone ever bought one of the lithographs? What's the quality like? My daughter wants a Taylor Swift poster for Christmas, which seems like a simple enough ask, however, outside of her website, everything online seems like all bootlegs. Considering the "Wildest Winter" lithograph; although obviously won't get it until 2021.
