  1. I am looking to thin out my shelves with some records I rarely listen to. I have a bunch of mailers and will package carefully. I used Discogs for information and pricing; I basically priced everything a little less than the average sale price for each item. Willing to make deals if you buy multiple records. All records have been played and stored upright on my shelves, so they are in decent (but not mint) condition. Feel free to message me if you want pictures. Shipping is $3 for media mail. 2. Just randomly jumping to this thread to say how great this album is. Two listens through and I'm smitten. Just ordered the gray version.
  3. This is without a doubt the funniest thing I have ever read on this board. Well done sir.
  4. Will buy the 12" versions immediately. This is why, despite loving everything Bazan does, I never bought these sets. I just couldn't stand getting up to my turntable ever 4ish minutes.
  5. Death Cab for Cutie- Something About Airplanes www.barsuk.com/downloads Code: LBKX4VNR
  6. I agree on both accounts: Norma Jean probably did rub off on them, and their live show has remained pretty much the same since Brother, Sister.
  7. As someone who saw them tour behind A->B: Life, I can say with certainty that their live show is now more tame than in the past. It was complete ruckus back in the day, with all members (expect their first bass player) going insanely nuts, moving and gyrating from one side of the stage to the other. That said, they are still really fantastic live... so I agree with encouraging others to check them out live.
  8. Me too. Wonder if I can cancel? I've never cancelled a PO in my life... I usually just bite the bullet and allow myself to really give the record a chance. But, in this case...
  9. This is the craziest thing I've read on the internet in a while. Obviously, to each their own. But I'm surprised that anyone could be bored by this record. Its probably my favorite of all his releases. In other news, I saw him here in Oregon Saturday night. And he ruled. Played all the hits, and really upped the energy/volume level, even on his slow songs. Some of the tracks were reinterpreted (especially the Love is Hell songs). It was an awesome show from start to finish. Norwegian Metal version of 16 Days!! Jenny Lewis singing back up vocals on Come Pick Me Up.
  10. This is a great suggestion. Still holds up, IMO. That said, it HIGHLY UNLIKELY you'll find it in the dollar bin.
  11. Honestly, I can't decide if I think its really good or really cheesy.
  12. Got my Blue/Orange w/ Yellow Splatter version in the mail today. It arrived a mere five days after I ordered it. The picture on the product page pretty much looks exactly like the one I received.
  13. Samsies. Also, I've never heard any of these songs. When this went up, I just bought it based on my love for These Arms Are Snakes. Pretty excited to hear these tracks for the first time.
  14. One variant still available from Triple Crown: http://triplecrownrecords.merchdirect.com/products/52167-foxing-the-albatross-vinyl
  15. Answers to your grit questions are one page back: All haze variants I've ever gotten come like this.
  16. I live in central Oregon, but go to Portland to visit friends and see shows often. This thread is full of really good advice and response. Pretty spot on. Ride the max every. Its awesome. If you are into to deep crate diving, the record store I'd recommended is Cross Roads Music. Its in the Hawthorne district (which also has a lot of great food, shops, and bars). It features a bunch of different record sellers in the same local. You have to be willing to dig as there is a ton of inventory in varying level of organization, but I've always found something I wanted in that shop. I know there is a wide range feelings regarding Voodoo, but I'd say its worth going to at least once. The people watching is ridiculously awesome and the donuts are in fact good. Like someone else pointed out, if you like beer, Oregon is the best for it. I'd recommended visiting Deschutes (its my local brewery, but they have a pub in Portland).
  17. Bon Iver- s/t http://download.jagjaguwar.com JAG115.56EKLTRY
  18. I think the first pic from (the bandcamp page) was from one side and the second pic (from Drew) is from the flip side. Mine looks similar to both pictures: one side has more white and the other side has more blue.
  19. WHAT?!? I adore In the Reins. Another collaboration with Calexico would make me so happy.
  20. Dude, what I wouldn't give to listen to The Shape of Punk to Come again for the first time. Not joking, do yourself a favor by devoting an hour of undivided attention to this groundbreaking album. I promise you wont regret it.
  21. Thank you for pointing this out. I just grabbed in the gold/black. I don't care about the color, so I'm happy to save a few bucks.
