  1. I have never understood this service. I have a hard enough time getting around to listenening to albums reccommened by people with opinions I trust, why would I want to be spoon fed music from a company that defines folk as 3 of the biggest names in modern music? They're literally just sending you 3 Top 40 albums disguised as this genre or that.
  2. I received my copies of Boring Ecstasy and Radiating Light today, in western Canada. Both came in perfect condition. I hadn't ordered a record from OT in years and last time the shipping was garbage, so seeing the whiplash mailer and the records outside of the jackets were nice surprises. Seriously though I hate haze records. This is the least gritty one I have ever received and it still took a few serious rounds with record cleaning solution to get that shit off. Also it renders their decent quality sleeves useless, as you're forced to throw it out. Last thing, neither of these releases have inserts?
  3. What's your name again? I'll add you to a small, private group on facebook that is comprised almost solely of people in new-ish emo bands. EDIT: Found it. I see you just posted this in NDE.

  5. I wonder if this could top Pianos Become The Teeth's The Lack Long After for the most intensely emotional album about losing a parent. I find that record to be tough to listen to at times and I'm fortunate enough to still have both my parents.
  6. I picked this up at a record store while I was in Vancouver. I really like this record. I'm far from a Russian Circles superfan though, as I've only listened to Enter and Station besides this. I don't remember the track names, but there's a song on the A side that has what sounds like a palm muted riff, and it's super catchy. And there's a song on the B side that is absolutely massive sounding. I was expecting something a lot heavier but to my surprise the heavier songs were the duller ones to me.
  7. Are all those TLOP bootlegs official designs, or is the seller just making up their own for some of them?
  8. Also didn't the girl do a song with Creed or Seether? Going to have to jam that now.
  9. Grown adults around here are still buying The Used and Fall Out Boy records, so there will be a non-sarcastic comment, it's just a matter of when.
  10. Is anyone else listening to this? It's amazing, as expected. The only thing I am kind of bummed about is that they reused two songs from the 3 Songs 7".
  11. Glad to see you didn't miss the "carefully curated" part. The service would be incomplete without it.
  12. my guess is they are talking bedroom pop type stuff. orchid tape's realm.
  13. My ears are bleeding Also what a dick, that fucko knocked a bunch of LP's off of the stores counter in the video, on purpose.
  14. You mention your records skipping. What turntable are you using? And what did you use to clean them before playing them?
  15. Wait...so Alex G is only on Endless, not Blonde, correct?
