To be fair I've only listened to the record about 5 times through. But only a couple tracks grabbed me. It seems like a less mature record than OTIP and Rented World.

I liked Rented World. This is more of a straightforward rock album. Not too many standouts. (Yet)

Midwestern States is the standout for me so far. The album as a whole is pretty dull though. At least through my first 5 ish listens.

There's some pretty nasty pops, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and assume I didn't clean it well enough. I only have a Discwasher (brush and solution). But to me it just sounds super flat and dull. Maybe it's just the production. We'll know soon enough once more people can weigh in I guess.

I can't really get into this, beyond a couple tracks. I'll give it some more time though, because I have loved everything they have done. Also, I'm visiting my friend in Berkeley and Cloud Nothing happen to be playing San Francisco while I'm there, so I might as well familiarize myself with the new songs.

I have no idea where this thread has gone because I only read the first page. If I get a record and it has a corner ding, I'm disappointed for all of 10 seconds. Then I play it, it goes on my shelf, and I probably never think about it again. I have no issue with people who get annoyed by them, especially if it is due to a shitty job packing the record. I get a little annoyed when I get an LP loose in a mailer with all four corners smashed up. Just buy some fucking bubble wrap.
