  1. I have spun PV everyday since I got it 3 weeks ago. 2 years late, but one of my favourite and most listenable albums in a while. Very excited for this, and can't wait to see how the new release will sound
  2. YOOOOOU are recordnerdz then?! Always good stuff.
  3. Turnover - Peripheral Vision (Purple in clear variant) Naked in the Marsh (Compilation from my hometown with tracks from '92: Eric's Trip, Idee du Nord, Bad Luck #13, Front Porch, Purple Knight)
  4. I also got mine, only a week after it was shipped, which is pretty good to go from San Fran to the east coast of Canada. My SDRE arrived Tuesday without a crease! Booya!
  5. So far I've only listened to the Star Roving and Sugar for the Pill and am seriously excited to listen to this album, but may hold off until my local record store gets a copy to buy and enjoy thru at home. I'm loving people's excitement of this album. Also, that clip of When the Sun Hits sounds beautiful
  6. I must say I love the Space Jam sountrack and have been interested in purchasing it, but the prices before RSD for the 1996 presses and now the inflated prices aren't enticing enough. Sidenote: The Nutty Professor and Love and Basketball had great soundtracks as well.
  7. Beyond pumped that my SDRE Rising Tide shipped Saturday after a number of people managed to order before me! Now the wait for an internationally shipped package. Can't come soon enough!
  8. Out of the entire album the only tracks I gravitate back to are Piano Player and Settle the Scar, but those are two strong tracks in my opinion.
  9. ^^ Very aware. It's just that my credit card payment already went through and was taken from my account, not just "approved" as you'd usually see when you initially order something. I'd like 61 dollars (canadian) to be secure! Plus, I DO want the SDRE hence dropping 61$ for it - the most I've spent on a single record
  10. Would love to have Airbag / How Am I Driving pressed on vinyl ( don't think it is). STRICTLY to have Polyethylene 1 & 2 spinning.
  11. Anyone else get shipping notification besdies DeathPeak? I haven't yet, don't want to wait too long and then not get one while others have them floating around.
  12. Damn... ordered Sunny Day but looks like I'm the 4th one on this page... Really hoping this goes through. Will marry whoever at 1-2-3-4 if it goes thru.
  13. Just pulled the trigger on SDRE Rising Tide from 1-2-3-4 Go Records. $61.61 shipped to Canada... Apparently it would have been $48 at the local record store if it would have come in, so I guess I can justify that. And at least I have it secured.
  14. Anyone know roughly how many of Sunny Day Real Estate's Rising Tide made their way to Canada? 2,500 pressed, most are in the US I assume. My local shop ordered it but didn't get it (yet?). As a safety I asked my sister to get one as she lives in a bigger city (Halifax, NS) that is getting a copy or copies. I'm just hoping enough to satisfy the potential masses.
  15. I have new records with scuffs that play perfectly and records that look perfect that jump a beat. Kinda sucks but I just deal with it. I've noticed my Built to Spill records Keep it like a secret and the Live LP are all hazy and scuffy but play perfectly. They are Warner Brothers releases.
  16. A few pages back I posted that here in Canada my local shop said 48$ after taxes, which are 15% here. Pricey for a general title, seems the norm for a RSD release.
  17. I feel ya Armadillo. I remember a few RSDs back dropping 110 on 3 records, which is ridiculous. This year I'll be on search solely for Rising Tide and maybe Space Jam soundtrack, if it's around. Amazon has been my best friend for purchases online. 3.50 shipping international? C'mon now!
  18. Made an inquiry about SDRE's Rising Tide at my local shop today. Looks like $48 CAD (tax in) for anybody curious from Canada.
  19. Dammit. I was going to make a joke similar to that. Edit: Also, want this!
  20. After reading your guys' thoughts as I play Sugar For the Pill for the first time, I had no idea what to expect throughout the song, but I really enjoyed it at first glance. It is EXACTLY what I expected from Slowdive, and has nice hints of Souvlaki. Confident that I will buy this, not stressed about variants for this one but I'm digging the album art and t-shirt
  21. SDRE - Rising Tide & Space Jam will be the must haves. A few titles will likely linger at the record store and will browse the rest once I'm satisfied with my priority purchases. I'll also be really bummed if I can't score SDRE. Space Jam soundtrack had some really classic tracks from back when. Super shitty that people on discogs had them going for an arm and a leg when I hear stories of dudes finding that shit in a dollar bin.
  22. It was released by TimeBomb and not sub pop, which is my guess to why we haven't seen this pressed since day 1. Gatefold and clear vinyl seems like a proper release though, can't wait to get it.
