also from the same MM manager/affiliate: "Yes, it's a double vinyl on 180 gram anniversary re-issue. I went through the numbers and the reality is, most of these types of re-pressing's sell for upwards of $60 at retail, and in this instance we are hoping this will deter people from scooping up copies to re-sell like the fucking scalpers they are." 1. what planet does this person live on where MM believes they could or should command the absurd prices of reissued corporate classics 2. this also begs the question – does their manager realize this makes MM the "fucking scalpers they are"?

might cop a tape. not a huge fan of paying vinyl prices for EPs. super stoked to see mwY reissuing stuff, and they nailed every aspect of the release! -

i did once count the tapes shown in that photo Birdtapes posted and came up with a number around 85. can't recall exact number or find the picture. at any rate, those tapes looked different than the original "pressing" so while it's possible the two add up to 100, it may be that there was a first run of some undefined number and that the second run was 100 tapes even. the fifteen or so of the second run of 100 that aren't pictured would, in that scenario, have been kept by the band, label, and their close friends. pretty common practice for labels and artists, to give keep copies for the inner circle. -

What Record Are You Listening To Now?

I defer 2 the entity known on these boards as "The Gryphon," but i personally can't see why anyone would waste their time with Floyd post-Syd. -

With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective...Creed........Wind-Up.....B015FWTBK2 ....US If there were one album that everyone should listen to in their lives then this is it. Be you 9 or 90 there is a slant on this album that will make you stop and think about your life , what you are doing today and how much of your time is left. After the early momentum gained from Brian Brasher , Creed were forced to cope with a complete change of rhythm guitartist and inspiration. Mark Tremonti had filled the role but, as yet Creed's true mission had yet to be established. This retrospective sees the band to experimentingly creatively within the studio with no real limitations and by indirectly using the inspirations of life and the relections of Brian's departure , they produced a timeless classic which took a look at and commented on the human condition. -

some jabroni in canada is selling SALT for $100. with $35 domestic shipping, no less. someone stateside went to all that trouble to send a friend a copy only for it to get flipped, or so i assume. tragic. -

you're not necessarily wrong, but buddy who just got out of DC show says the merch guy didn't have any to sell. not sure what that means for the rest of tour, of course, but doesn't bode well. -

"hey" seems really stale/formulaic to me. it's a solid track, but in light of his dynamic and emotional back catalogue, i expected more. that said, this may be more of a classic "generic track for the first single" – hoping the album delivers as a whole!
