  1. a very fine label! Night&Tickets' release with them is pretty solid.
  2. any turntable recs of the remaining models? without a turntable still, hoping to change that.
  3. i would be down. only problem is my tape is now sitting at my parents' house on a different continent. remind me in 2 months, k?
  4. ordered a first-run (blue) tape the day they went up and got a second-run (red) tape. lulz. anyone wanna share a pic of the blue ones (so i can decide whether to be sad about getting the wrong color)?
  5. wait, what two b-sides were on the deluxe CD? i have the TWIN edition and never stumbled across any non-album tracks… what am i missing out on?
  6. i remember too, oh man. the funny thing is it's the yesteryear of "digital only," which is such a small dot on the map of music sales history.
  7. Reverb.com, try gear swap pages on FB. good luck!
  8. what happened? also, do you think New Alhambra tape POs from Orchid Tapes will come with a DL code? because i don't imagine OT gets clearance from RFC to put up free downloads of that particular record.
  9. i despise the look and sound of white vinyl, and i know i'm not alone in that... how could they???
  10. Ideally, Lucky Number would find a distribution partner… If tiny netlabels can do it, so can they.
  11. i'm assuming this is humorous / in response to Teen Suicide signing to RFC? or am i totally out of the loop?
  12. also, LP bonus tracks are: TRICK – Adam, Sarah, 16 Mirrors (anyone know anything about that last one??) RULES – Sandy, Good hmmmmm
  13. i was thinking of shipping it to Ireland since i'll be there this summer, but the shipping is nearly as expensive as to the US. same to mainland EU.
  14. they won't sell out of 1000 that fast. you could wait a few days and see what US options arise, if any. at the very least, i'd expect Lucky Number to distribute somewhere in the US, like wildflange mentioned.
  15. i always assumed he signed the UK/EU rights to them for DSU while planning to maintain a partnership with Orchid Tapes in the US. seems odd someone as successful as he would enter into an exclusive deal with a non-North American label. makes very little business sense. perhaps we'll see an announcement from Orchid Tapes soon. with Haze Tapes and Birdtapes (who released the original runs of TRICK and RULES on tape) both dissolving, i guess it makes sense there was never a netlabel / indie label push to resurrect these records. hmm.
  16. how the fuck are these things $35? maybe because it's Lucky Number (UK) pressing them. don't know much about them, but they certainly have exorbitant LP and shipping prices. Alex himself doesn't seem like the kind of guy to scalp his fanbase (which is by and large North American…). kind of a shame, especially since it won't get the loving / colored vinyl Orchid Tapes treatment. torn on whether to buy or not… much rather give Alex and co. my money directly… mixed feelings.
  17. twin is fantastic. oh man. i was about to blend both edits together in Logic, but i wondered if anyone here would be better suited to mixing it in surround sound (as per the digipak's suggestion…)?
  18. right on! twice removed are great, and i'll be sure to ask. hadn't heard of Blue Tapes, and i'll be sure to check them out / approach them as well. other suggestions welcome, too!
  19. thought i'd jump in here and share my ambient / sound collage work as Leaaves (name-your-price downloads!). i've most recently put out a tape on Illuminated Paths – it's a cohesive suite of piano and guitar works, with field recordings, detailed sampling, and lots of reverb. i'm currently working on a split LP with drone mainstays Lost Trail, and it's gonna hit hard. we're looking for additional labels anywhere across the globe to help put it out on 12" vinyl (we've got a few labels spearheading the project already), so if you're interested or know of solid labels to check out, i'd appreciate it!
  20. there is actually a band that calls themselves "wakey!wakey!" wow.
  21. they also had some of those Alex G / RL Kelly split 7"s until recently…
  22. tapes are actually all listed at $5.99, not the advertised $3. any plans to fix that? would love to pick up some cassettes!
