I can also vouch for grabbing the LP direct from the band if possible. I was able to grab their 1st & 3rd records for $15 each on tour and had a pleasant chat with various band members both times.

I really like that single and am excited to hear a record with the additional band members on board.

I still haven't received anything but I'm glad some people have. I figured with the band on tour they wouldn't start shipping until AFTER the release date so I'm pleasantly surprised to see they have people covering orders while they're out of the country.

Anyone order multiple variants and receive those? I'm wondering if they'll ship everything together. Ordered a couple of tees too so hopefully everything is nice and snug and there are no seam splits.

Took a little getting used to some parts compared to the live recordings but I think it's fantastic. Seeing them perform on the lawn at Hollywood Forever Cemetery will be a treat.

For whatever reason, Ty was with Rincon (and potentially the rest of Thee Oh Sees I forget) in a studio earlier this year. It's possible he was just chilling but he showed up in a few instagram posts and vids from the studio so I'm hoping this means something.

The Murlocs last LP was on par with Nonagon for me so I've got high hopes for this one. I can definitely see how the other artists on the roster may not stack up compared to the insanity of the Gizz but I still dig most of them.

Yeah. As someone who is from Australia, I'm used to records being a little more expensive than usual, but given the fact Flightless themselves have released coloured variants for $25 a piece (for far more limited pressings), the recent $40 price tag does feel a little cash-grabby and contradictory to their previous business model considering it's a single LP with a non-gatefold jacket.

I was on right as they posted it to Flightless and they only had 2200 allocated for mailorder, I'm assuming the rest will go to the band and Aussie record stores. Down to 1875 copies already

Is it possible to use a referral link for a single month subscription? I see there's a link for the 1 month sub from a page or two back but it doesn't seem to be traceable from any referral link URL. Also, if I sign up now will I get NEXT month's record of the month?

Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into that. I don't know if I can use a referral code seeing as I've had an account with them before but if it's as simple as using a different email and putting my wife's name on the account instead I'll lift a code from the thread if I can find one.

After seeing some snaps on instagram I think I'm gunning for either blue or yellow! My copy should be here Thursday (LA). The record is nice and mellow from what I've heard so far, not as gripping as 2 or Salad Days but will likely get more plays from me than Another One.

Struck out at my go-to store, which is a shame because I really wanted to throw some money their way (grabbed the Kevin Morby 7" at least so I didn't leave empty handed). From there I made the trip to Amoeba and although I had to wait about an hour and a half in line and another 40 minutes for them to fulfill my order, they had everything I was after which seemed to have sold out at every other store in LA. For what it's worth they had a master list out front showing titles that were no longer available and it looked like they still had a lot of the releases on hand (I'd wager about 85% of the list)
