Klefki reacted to GOTCHA in Record mailing supplies
I have found that heavy duty cardboard inserts are key to helping prevent damage. Finally found the link. I use these - http://www.ebay.com/itm/231914047678?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=531185006445&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I order 400 at a time, so it makes the cost per insert really low.
These are the mailers I get on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SKCR1QQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They end up being about .40 each, I personally think they're great when combined w/ the inserts, which imo should be used regardless of what mailers you use when shipping records.
Are there better mailers out there? Probably. Are the Sleeve City mailers better? I can't vouch, possibly. However, for the cost I've found the above to be the best bang for your buck.

Klefki reacted to teddy in Basement - Promise Everything
Hated it at first, but really digging it now. Feels more gritty, more similar to IWICSH and Colourmeinkindness. Not sure about getting it on vinyl but still really digging the new mix.

Klefki reacted to Rip in A Skylit Drive-She Watched the Sky was released 10 years ago yesterday, so my label is selling it for $10
When are the people who ordered this when it first went up supposed to receive their replacement jackets because of all the seam splits? Been waiting quite a while for mine.

Klefki reacted to Smarch Weather in Any info: Sick Shift - Angry Badgers cd
I finally made an account... Your topic is recent, so I thought I'd respond.
First of all, congratulations. That's a nice find. I've been looking for that CD for a long time, but I'm not about to pay $100. Unfortunately, there isn't much to say about the band. Sick Shift formed in Santa Barbara in 1996. As far as I know, they released that one album recorded a demo in 2001/2002. It was never officially released, but the mp3s are floating around the web (I have them). It's in the same style as the album. I'm not exactly sure when the band broke up, but I'm guessing around 2003-ish. I think they did some touring, but probably nothing extensive. They are on the soundtrack of the Razor Freestyle Scooter game. If you don't know the game, it's a Tony Hawk Pro Skater ripoff that came out in 2000. They were on a few comps and I think some surf/skate/snow videos, too.
My friend is in a skate-punk band from San Diego and he's good friends with the Sick Shift singer. I actually saw the singer, Gary, fill-in on bass for my friend's band earlier this year. He's not playing with them anymore and I don't know if any of the band members are doing anything musical these days. I know they had t-shirts. My friend has one that's bright yellow and it has the logo center on the chest, but I believe the band is completely out of merch/CDs. I asked my friend to get me a CD, but no go. I only got a sticker.
That's all I know, but I hope it helped.

Klefki reacted to HoneyFrosted in Ian from popmarket here - what do you guys want to see?
I just don't know who's buying all those 350 dollar bundles and box sets. Somebody must be since you're still in business, so good on you.
I guess my main comment is that most of the stuff you're selling is recent reissues of 60's and 70's artists that I could hunt for rather than drop a giant expensive douche on. Even when you've had a Shins bundle that I considered, it seemed like I could go to a regular record store that already marks up their records exorbitantly, buy them there and still come out ahead. I'm saying your stuff is expensive and that's why I've never ordered from you.
Or they could have somebody who checks the email once in a while. Goes both ways.
