I think it would be fair if they offer the yellow to those who ordered /100 and got /300 to return their /300 for them to resell. Obviously if this is their mistake they should pay the return shipping, but they didn't say if it was a pressing plant issue or their mistake.

That said, if I were to be offered the /100 yellow I'd sell my /300 split at cost if someone here wanted it.

The main issue with this is having customers with no shipping experience sending these fragile pizza boxes/records all over the globe that would inevitably lead to damages and more problems.

Also it was said that the plant mixed up the pressing numbers I believe.

Maybe offer the /100 that hasn't gone for sale yet to some of the split version people.

300-ish copies of the split were sold. 100 of the yellow are available. That's only 1/3 of the customers. But also - they all already own a copy of this, so giving specifically 1/3 of the 300 orders a chance to re-buy a second copy privately seems unreasonable as hell lol.

*Coming from someone who bought the split thinking it was /100 but not up in arms about it

Corey, since you put out records if this one of your titles would you have said something or said nothing at all and just wait and see if someone notices? Genuinely curious?

Yes, since you asked, I would have addressed this situation as soon as I knew about it and would have updated anyone who had ordered - can't speak on behalf of this situation or how soon they found out though cause I wasn't behind the scenes on this. It seemed like it was after the pre-orders went live.

My comment above was more so saying that regardless of the variant numbers, this release RULES. It was extremely well done and as a fan I'm happy to own it, so I was agreeing with the person who would be happy to own any copy / making a joke at the complaints because people will still want to keep this release regardless of the pressing numbers because it's awesome. And sold out.

I just don't see a huge issue in the numbers on a smaller pressing like this, at the end of the day, if someone got the copy they ordered in the first place. And I personally go after the variants I think will look best, not the rarest, but that's just me. But again, as a label, I would have address this situation as soon as I had the info, but mistakes like these do happen that are completely out of anyone's control unfortunately and can be noticed too late.

Yes and while we're at it, does a clear /100 DTR store exclusive copy of Allister's Last Stop Suburbia exist? It says it should on Discogs but I can't find one. These DTR exclusives are the rarest rare rarities.

    It's available here: https://www.merchhq.com/product-page/allister-last-stop-suburbia-vinyl

I actually just ordered one earlier this week haha.

Anybody know what the deal with swaps is now? I know you can't swap for any pre-orders anymore but I'm trying to swap this month and there's very limited options. Was really hoping to swap to Demon Days.

Have you been following the reddit VMP? It's basically been a shit show for the last 2 months since they migrated to a new website. Lots of changes, some are glitches, some aren't. A lot of things are limited, like only being able to swap once and you're locked in. ROTM's being available to the public. The list goes on tbh haha, not to mention their mail order has been super backed up as well as people receiving multiple copies of records on accident or the wrong ones (like, a lot of people, including myself)

Anyway, I hope they fix some things soon. Supposedly the swap limitations atm are potentially temporary, for whatever that's worth haha

  6. This packaging is really well done. They shrink wrapped the pizza boxes which looked odd for a pizza box haha, but a nice touch. My vinyl avoided seam splits inside the box fortunately. The wax color matches the artwork super well, I ended up getting the half and half, it's more of an orange-ish yellow than a straight yellow. The track list printing on the back (bottom) of the pizza box and hand numbered is cool too.

And the vinyl is in a gatefold, not a wide spine. All around I gotta say this is an A+

How fast I should make swaps to have all 2 options available?

Got an email about rotm on 28 Dec, opened it within 20 minutes, trying to swap, both options was sold out.

PS checked it now, nerd was available for swaps

The other genres have been sold out for the last month basically. Cool you were able to get in for the RHH, I was a RHH member and tried to switch last month's ROTM (too late) and ended up swapping to Essentials and have been stuck with it haha.

This album grew on me and I didn't buy it. Fml

I had the same feeling. I bought one off someone for almost 3x the price it sold haha, and am worried they're gonna do a retail press on this exact same color.. I feel like they'll have to do some sort of mass pressing for this.
