  1. Been working on pressing this for quite some time via my label Near Mint. An all time favorite from the early 2000's, hope some of ya'll are as excited as I am. Pressing info below, and a link to sign up when it goes live 3/1 - It's expected to sell out very quick based on the response we got Monday when announcing it, so definitely don't sleep on this one! Also if you're into this release, I just pressed Sherwood and Danger: Radio on vinyl and am also working on some others that are from the same era!

I mean I'll be happy to have it as well. However, this very well could be the one time they press it, given that it's done by the band. Why not go for something big as opposed to the very 5 seconds of thought "just make it match the artwork." A clear + anything would have taken 5 more seconds of thought and likely will come out better. A clear + white/silver splatter. A clear + white blob. Heck, I might take a black with black etching like that test pressing over white w/ silver.

The white w/ silver is quite literally the colors of the artwork. Idk why someone would think that silver ink wouldn't be visible on a white vinyl when there is silver text on the white cover as a prime example lol. I get that "white vinyl sounds bad" and is a fair audiophile point but I'm sure it'll sound good to the majority of us.

Also I'm positive if they just did black vinyl people would be actually crying haha

  3. Hey ya'll. My label Near Mint's next installment in our early 2000's re-issues will be Sherwood's debut 2004 EP. Fully remastered for vinyl from the original mixes (sounds incredible) and fancy packaging / variants. Pressing info on the product page.

Goes live Friday 1/1 at 12pm EST

How do these records sound in general? I don't own any, but some friends of mine had a record from their old band pressed by WV and I'm fairly certain it wasn't remastered in any capacity prior.

All things considered (the files they're working with, the genre, the year they were released) they actually sound pretty awesome if you're referring to Wax Vessel in particular, not Wax Mage. Not sure about every single release, but I know they usually re-master stuff and do the best with what they're working with.

  5. Starting a new thread for this since Near Mint has started handling the Marietta catalog. There's another press for Summer Death available now.

150 Clear w/ Water Blue Smoke (Near Mint Exclusive)
150 Electric Blue w/ Gold Moon Phase (UK Exclusive)
500 Gold / Baby Blue Galaxy

No they weren't. That is the point. They got the license from Black Market just like SIC did for the Loaded reissues. Kevin was just butthurt about that and slandered them via social media and RDW backed out. They make high quality stuff. I am just saying, look at the cover mockup for the "official" repress. Looks like it was made in MS Paint, no offense. I still ordered it anyway bc I need it.

Also here to back up DRW again haha. They didn't do a bootleg, they actually lost a ton of money from something they were under the assumption was a legal licensing, just to maintain their label's integrity.

I also ordered the Amazon as well. Truly bummed we didn't get the tip on jackets w/ foil printing from DRW.

  7. I usually don't bother posting hip hop stuff here because it all sells out immediately but there's still some copies of one of the limited versions of the new Marci LP.

I don’t think there is... at least yet. I’d assume at this point they did the clear to see how it sells and then will do a retail/back pressing for sometime next year.

My copy has some “smoke” colored accents throughout the clear. Is everyone else’s completely clear? I know it’s a common thing to happen, but just curious if it happened to most or just some

There is black now (ships in February)
