  1. The records from both Sleepy Eyes Of Death and Glowbug are awesome finds!
  2. I think this deal sounds pretty good. It's cool that it increases the quarterly charge instead of being another monthly charge, too. For those interested in Tidal, it may be a deterrent to canceling and re-subscribing to the vault when it's a package you're not particularly interested in, being that it's a one-time use code.
  3. I received Swung From The Branches, Ontario Gothic, and Angeltown today. None of my releases came with download cards, is this the norm?
  4. I already ordered it from SSD, but I'm still interested in what bonus material will be included.
  5. Those are low pressing numbers. I'll definitely be on stand by.
  6. I wasn't personally interested in this release, though the 7" may be something I look to pick up. However, I see where you're coming from, and that would certainly be a perk that would be easy to incorporate. Have you considered sending them an email to recommend the possible change?
  7. While this album is a perfect example of why an album should be listened to in full, front to back, I know not all albums are like this--especially a number of mainstream releases since the turn of the century. There are plenty of spot albums you can spot listen to, but it's a little disheartening when an album like this comes along, and a bootleg releases doesn't adhere to the original tracklisting.
  8. I ordered Midnight Blue from Music Direct some months ago, not knowing exactly what version I was purchasing, just that I enjoyed the album and I felt $34.99 was a fair price. I need to pick up the other two you mentioned, especially Maiden Voyage. I just streamed it last night, and while fantastic, I know Spotify doesn't come remotely close to doing it justice.
  9. I strongly encourage you to listen to the album in order of its intended track listing. The flow and story telling of the record greatly increases the listening experience, and the spoken word codas build on one another until they culiminate in the final track, Mortal Man.
  10. I just ordered from Siren Disc, thank you. I picked up the Blue Light single from them a few weeks back. Their shipping took longer than expected, but I had no issue with the order, and the record was packaged well.
  11. No arguing with your logic. For myself, I prefer not having to remember to order the new releases each month, it's just easier to subscribe.
  12. I'm also curious about the issue with PLAIN releases. Being the first domestic release of this record, I'm definitely interested, but not if the pressing has a high probability of poor quality.
  13. I was curious about the 45 RPM series at the higher price point, and according to Music Matters they are no longer pressing those reissues. They do still have a fair amount of them in stock if anyone is interested in picking them up, but once they are sold out that will be the end of it.
  14. I received my first shipment from Music Matters a few days ago. While I haven't had a chance to give the records a spin yet, I can comment on the packaging, both product and shipping wise. The jackets are immaculate, and the photos used add a really cool touch. I was impressed they shipped the records in a basic sleeve outside of the gatefold jacket. There was a lot of detail attention paid to these reissues, and I have no doubt that carries over to the sound quality, too. For anyone considering their subscription, I strongly recommend it. For $80/4-6 weeks you receive two reissues. The records are priced at $34.95 + $5 medial mail shipping.
  15. I'm going to my first RSD at Dimple Records in Elk Grove, a southern suburb of Sacramento. I've heard good things about Phono Select downtown.
  16. I received the pre-order email a few days ago, and picked up both variants of the record, and the tape, immediately.
  17. I don't even know those artists, but that is still mighty impressive. Well done.
  18. That shelf is too bad ass! I love the engraving. Thanks for the description, too. When I saw the engraving peeking out from under the turntable, my first thought was, "where can I get that?!"
  19. I pre-ordered this from SoundStage Direct earlier today.
  20. I just subscribed to Music Matters, so we'll see what shows up in the mail, and when.
  21. I was able to order all four new PAX-AM singles via Bull Moose yesterday, and I threw in a JD McPherson single to get free shipping.
