Discogs is notorious for knee-jerk reviews from people who’ve never wet cleaned a record in their life, and are shocked that their entry level Audio Technica table is suffering distorted playback.  I take the reviews and comments on that site with a massive grain of salt.

There's a significant number of reports of problems (both US & European copies) over at Steve Hoffman as well. The one thing that place is not is full of noobs.

They are marked as Sold Out as they won't go up for sale until some time on July 24th. They all have obi strips, but in past years HMV have sold items as exclusive when they were either just exclusive to the UK or had an exclusive HMV obi strip and were available elsewhere without it.

I assume that if you're ordering multiple in-stock items they'll come in more substantial mailers, but if you're receiving a single LP in a shipment prepare yourself for a hassle or settle for dinged up jackets.

This thread inspired me to make a sizeable order with them, and they sent them in more substantial mailers. Didn't stop 90% of the items being damaged - almost an exact 50 / 50 split between seam splits and corner damage. Given the condition of the packaging (undamaged), most of the corner damage occurred before the items were sent. No quality control, though this is not in any way unique to them.
