One I sold on discogs and the other I gave to a friend. Prolonging the Magic is the record they pressed in the wrong colour for the second run. That's the defining difference between the first run and second run. I think all the other records were pressed in the correct colour (but I haven't seen them to know for sure). I know this because of the multiple copies I was shipped.

I have the RSD first press version. I'm running a project debut III carbon with a 2mblue. The records sound fine. I had an issue with one record, Prolonging the Magic I think, there seems to be an issue with one song where it makes a loud bump like there is a scratch but there is no visible damage. They sent a replacement and it had the same issue. They sent another replacement from the second press and it had the same issue....so I gave up. It must have been a problem with the plates they used, or a problem with the cut. I'm quite satisfied with the sound and quality otherwise.

If you've ordered these from pledgemusic beware, they are in financial trouble. If you are just finding out about these remasters order from intervention records directly.

Ugh, I have used pledgemusic a handful of times in the last 4 years to support older artists and never had a problem receiving the items i ordered until now..... back in July i preordered a couple of the Matthew Sweet remasters. I received on and am still waiting on one (which is two weeks overdue). I fear i will never see that final record and have already ordered it directly from Intervention Records. Not sure if i'll receive a refund from PM or if the item will eventually ship.... One thing is for sure, I'll never pledge with them again.

I read those Discogs reviews and had to add my own, they are misleading and extreme compared to what i hear from these releases. Was disappointed the Mark album wasn't 2LPs though.... was looking forward to that. Are they more dynamic versions than the CDs? Nope, but they do not sound horrible at all. For me they were worth the price, but they may not be fore everyone.

I would like to see Loser editions of these two records, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Still, it will be nice to have these on vinyl.

That edit will only search the amazon items and not the third party listings though....that's what was great about the discount filter, it would show third party prices as well. I've purchased a lot of items that way from third party sellers. But it's next to impossible now to find the third party deals.

If i remember correctly there is a way to filter by price at amazon.com. I don't remember the steps exactly, but you used to be able to filter for items under a certain dollar amount. Not sure if that same function works on amazon.ca.....?

Woah. The discount filter has been removed from amazon.ca. Have no way to look for discounted records now, unless there is some other way to filter them...?
