  1. The MP3 is $49.99 on Amazon. No way physical vinyl will be that price.
  2. The artwork in the back could have no relation to the record. It's part of the "Lost Angeles" series by Stanley Donwood, used on AFP and Thom solo stuff. From the glare on the record, you can make 3 or 4 tracks, so it's probably an EP. The turntable being set at 33rpm furthers this claim. I suppose it could be spread across a few discs. Maybe it's that Polyfauna stuff Thom did.
  3. It says to bring it back to the store where you bought the single and they will give you $2 off WTSMG.
  4. The blue box is highly acclaimed, however those are the stereo versions. Somewhere around 82 there was a mono box released however that is really hard and expensive to come across (I think it was limited to 1000). Analog Planet's Michael Fremer has reviewed every one of the albums (scroll down the page) and compares it to his original copies. Seems like the set is excellent.
  5. I love This Is A Long Drive but somehow never listened to LCW before. I'll pick them both up when they're in stores! Good news for people who've been waiting for these reissues forever.
  6. I know. I wasn't really specifically talking about this release, just your comment on how it's alright to price reissues high when OG pressings fetch a lot. As I mentioned in my first post, this record will most likely not be priced around $50, so I'm just going to wait for another source before I start complaining about the price being too high.
  7. I'm sure $50 isn't the final price, but no album should be priced that high. Just because OG pressings sell for stupid money doesn't mean the reissues should. List price probably ends up around $25-$30.
  8. Banquet Records have listed () and Agaetis Byrjun saying "Repress due soon." Is there any truth to this? Wonder how long it's been listed like that for.
  9. Pink Floyd's new studio album The Endless River is out November 10. Preorder now from: Pink Floyd direct Amazon
  10. For those of you who don't know, they also released a vinyl version of the first Halo Anniversary: http://www.amazon.com/Halo-Combat-Evolved-Anniversary-Soundtrack/dp/B005TOQHLS
  11. A series of unboxing videos from Analog Planet's Michael Fremer: http://www.analogplanet.com/content/beatles-mono-box-arrives Compares it to the originals which is nice.
  12. That would be great. Perhaps a Peel Session reissue also? Wonder if an Old Tunes official release is in the future.
  13. Yes please. SAW II and Drukqs need Warp represses. Reissuing some early singles (Didgeroo, Donkey Rhubarb, etc) would be nice too but I'm not sure Warp has the rights to all of them.
  14. Listed on the same site: here, here, and here. Three Derezzed picture discs... Get em if you want them.
  15. Eh, if the vinyl was glow in the dark it would sound like garbage.
  16. Hope the listing turns out to be true. Also, I swear yesterday the page had a "pre order" banner over the album when you scrolled over it. No other site has listed it, so I'm not holding my breath. Does anyone shop at newonvinyl.com? There's nothing wrong with this. If record labels have an opportunity to make money, they will take advantage of that. People should have found out by now that releases get repressed. Don't be pissed if you spent $200 on this very popular Daft Punk album because a repressing was imminent. Also, original pressings don't even lower in price that much when there's a repressing, from what I've seen. Look at the Boards Of Canada represses. Hardly changed a thing.
  17. Sea Change has to get repressed in the next few years. There's too much demand not to.
