  1. Have about 750 lps (inc. 10" & 7", counting boxsets as one album). I've been buying records as my primary music media since 1985 or so though CDs were in the mix during the mid 90's. My list --> http://www.recordnerd.com/lists/jonnyhambone
  2. 5 right now. Usually 3-5 / month with a few local store stops mixed in... Have A Nice Life - Deathconsciousness (Green) Circle - Latitude Sessions Circle (Ex-Falcon) - Leviaton Mono - Last Dawn/Rays of Darkness (grey/white) Shellac - Dude Incredible
  3. I do love Filth and, even more, White Light From the Mouth of Infinity, but Soundtracks for the Blind is where they really hit it for me as far as stuff I'd still put on with any frequency. This album has aged so well and can't wait to pick up on remastered vinyl soon, I hope. Anyone else dig the Angels of Light releases too?!
  4. ^ thoughtful and maybe true...I like it after a few listens and am very aware that art isn't created in a vacuum....but good Earth surely needs, if nothing else, room to breathe.

  6. Tall Dwarfs would be awesome, include 7" eps from Chris Knox solo and some of his comics work. Be a helluva release!
  7. Mine feels like it has a rubberized finish almost...never felt another lp like it honestly. Only listened to side one so far, the Lanegan vocals are cool but I'll need a few more listens. The guitar from Brett Netson is a bit surprising too - little BTSpill flourishes that almost act like 'guitar drum-fills'....
  8. Got red today at Extreme Noise in Mpls. Also picked up Earth's Primitive and Deadly which was surprisingly on transluscent orange. Won't be able to spin 'til tomorrow, Friday, but am psyched for it!
  9. Nice one! Tried to get this but they "Out Of Stock-ed" me...
  10. Damn!...have this on vinyl as it's one of the best things ever. The extra album of demos on the Magnolia Electric Co. Deluxe Ed. was excellent so I imagine this will be great too. RIP Jason.
  11. I picked up the Solomon lp - which is awesome - in Mpls. They kept disappearing it thru the night so ask if you don't see something. I didn't see it earlier and then As soon as I bought mine, merch. dude took the display lp and hid it behind the table. Weird...it was out again later... They were awesome though!
  12. $ !Praparat I wanna say $45. Daymare Noise $60. Solomon lp with gorgeous slipcase - yellow vinyl, $35. Heavy Rocks cd (orig. Daymare), $40. Flood live cd $15. Archive 1 & 2 cds, $60 each ( ! ). Oh, and Noise slipmat, $6. + a bunch of shirts...
  13. Saw them last night...great show. Nice combo of heavy drone, semi-pop hooks, a few moments of Vein-style crusty punk. They had copies of Praparat for sale, both pressings of Noise, lots of CDs, and the new Taiga pressing/slipcase box of the Solomon extra lp.
  14. Omnivore released a nice collection of out takes and demos from '71-'72, when his first two albums came out. Maybe not the place to start but it has great stripped down versions of some songs that got over-produced on the official releases, no mariachi horns and such. I think it was an RSD thing last year but it's still around, on nice sounding red vinyl to boot -- Sunshine Boy.
  15. Finally listened to this last night for the first time (on YouTube but still...). Really psyched I jumped on it and PO'd the greenie!
  16. I love Rainbow, I'm a long-time Ghost fan too but Kurihara really shines on guitar on this one and adds a great tone to Boris's sounds. This and Vein (both Inoxia pressings) are the only ones I own, besides soon-to-arrive Noise and Parapat.
  17. Received invoice from Inoxia this am for Noise and Paparat. Pretty psyched on the cover art for the Japanese ed. of Noise...couple weeks out now!
  18. Dude, thanks! I'd given up on this one, but it's on the way now. Very happy
  19. Been waiting to pull the trigger on this, glad to have a few more days to linger though I have little doubt I'll order this any day....
  20. Picked this up at my local today, and Earth, 'Hex' arrived on my porch. Very psyched to crack a cold one and get elemental with Earth and Watter tonite...
  21. Got this and the Emma Ruth Rundle this week... finally listening, very sweet! Anyone know how many blue/ocean white pressed? Digging all of it, getting nostalgic for solo Kristin Hirsch listening to Emma...
