For all of you after UK-specific releases mark down flashback.co.uk as a store (based in London) to send off your enquiries to once the rsd-online embargo ends. It's a store that doesn't get mentioned on here as one of the usual go-to's so you might be in luck. They ship O/S too.

There's apparently a second pressing of the Albanian Gunsmith version with a red cover this time. I'm not sure about other retailers but Rough Trade in the UK have it listed -- http://www.roughtrade.com/albums/89241 -
Preorder Modest Mouse vinyl now. LCW and Long Drive
moodist replied to Fowty Dollaz's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Nope. It's an independent store only release for UK and EU. I picked up coloured vinyl copies of both from my local indie. Banquet just got their pre-order page up first and word spread from there.- 1,213 replies

London Independent Label Record Market - July 12th

Not yet. Check the ILM fb closer to the date. It gets crowded, but not on the mobbed scale. It's a market, so it's pretty relaxed. -
London Independent Label Record Market - July 12th
moodist replied to stl_ben's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Yep. Been every year so far and spent loads. Last year I picked up the screen printed Sigur Ros 'Kveikur' from the XL stall which was limited to 50 copies. They also did that for Atoms for Peace and Vampire Weekend too and I couldn't pass them up either. 4AD stall had a bunch of random test pressings (remember seeing a Cocteau Twins one) for cheap. Definitely will be there this year. Much more fun than RSD. -

Well fuck that for being affordable. -
Really surprised at how good this is. Juno Records has a few copies of the clear vinyl for sale on Ebay for £15 with free shipping if any UK people are after it.

It's a fun little online treasure hunt trying to find one of these that isn't 'store pick-up only'. -

Why the fuck did I sell that?
moodist replied to Tom Delonge's UFO's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Record collecting is expensive, so sometimes needs must (unless you're wealthy/live in your mom's basement). Fact of life. And times when needs must, there's a hierarchy of shit you'd like to keep but are cool with letting go and shit you'd be pretty miserable to sell but it's either that or you starve, your family starves or whatever. After almost 30 years of buying records you learn to let go of things you'll never play or notice were gone. My major 'why the fuck did i' moment is and will always be "why the fuck did I cancel my Sub Pop Singles Club subscription 3 months before they put out that damn White Stripes 7?". Everything they put out was more or less shit (with a few exceptions) for the first two 1/2 years, and then when I cancel it's suddenly White Stripes, Bright Eyes, Destroyer, J Mascis, Mountain Goats, Iron and Wine, Ugly Casanova etc. Fuuuuuuck! -
Records You Are Lucky To Own
moodist replied to almightyseancore's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Whoever it was that posted the heads-up about the Kozelek and Lavalle 2LP pre-order -- that's what I'm lucky to (soon) own. There are so many people pissing their pants and offering their first-born over missing this and I would never have heard about it otherwise. Kinda new here but love this site already. -
You can speculate, but on a recent live recording you can hear him bitch about the dudes who hassle him about vinyl releases after gigs. Maybe this is him saying "here you go nerds, good luck finding a copy!" (I got mine, so F U Koz).

Gone daddy gone. Think I got the last one. and GODDAMN THE O/S SHIPPING CHARGES.

2014 Record Store Day - April 19
moodist replied to gmoney's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
To the guy wanting some Lorde -- everything you said above is true. It's a charity record only available at a gallery in East London along with about 4 other bands/artists. You don't know who you're buying (artist etc, unless the cover is really obvious) until you paid your £45. It could be Lorde or Marc Bolan or whoever the 2 or 3 are. You ain't gonna find them anywhere else -- and selling them on ebay is really frowned upon (charity record and all).
