This was my introduction to the band. I like his voice, extremely similar to Weakerthans. The first song is gorgeous, drew me in. The first half is flawless. Second half has some highlights. I grabbed some stickers from my local store. Fun!

The comic book was enough for me to purchase from my B&M. Packaging is nice, well thought out. I laughed at the records inside the plain paper inners inside of the decrative inners. Never seen that. Somewhat disappointed with no lyric sheet. I'm not a huge fan of the pressing, mine has noticeable surface noise and I need to turn it up quite a bit to "feel" the music. Nothing is jumping out at me. Cut hot, pre amp low at -2. The songs are great. At first, I felt they merely attempted replicating Lonesome Dreams. But, once I got past the familiar sounds, this album is much more mysterious. Yawning Grave may be my fav track. Overall production is tops, as this band deserves. Great guitar tones. A great effort!
